Check out this paper made in collaboration with @nickblunt.bsky.social and @aleksei-quantum.bsky.social, that describes how to obtain tight bounds on the worst-case Trotter error using a split-operator decomposition for Hamiltonians of practical interest in materials research and chemistry!
