Do you enjoy fun, silly, almost goofy action comedies? Then may I recommend Matchbox: The Movie, which is exactly as you’d expect from a John Cena action film that forces a weird IP into an action film that isn’t car focused. Doesnt matter, its as light as cotton candy but with good one liners.

Aw, after years and years, the Hello Kitty I peeled off a greeting card and stuck onto my iPad mini’s case has finally popped off of that. No choice but to get a new iPad mini, really. 🤷‍♂️ But srsly I’m going to because the teeny tiny storage on this ancient model is a constant frustration. 😅

Do you enjoy really great pitch-perfect horror that’s technically based on an extant IP but really it’s just like two names? Then may I recommend the wonderfully scripted, directed, & choreographed Resident Evil (2026) which uses great cinematography to help convey near constant tension. Fab.

Do you enjoy wildly inaccurate stories that take weird wild tangents—that are nevertheless engaging? Then may I recommend Monsters: The Lizzie Borden Story, which spells “Lizzie” correctly and that’s almost the only thing. But forget that. It’s well executed. (Get it?) Great acting/direction.

Do you enjoy light wahoo Star Wars action? Then may I recommend The Mandalorian and Grogu, which felt like a couple episodes smushed together—which is fine because those would’ve been good episodes. It’s fun, lightly plotted, actiony with some great fights, cute, and yeah, relax and have fun.

From 3 sep. sources I’ve heard “I want to play WoW—but I don’t know what to do.” This. For me, it’s part choice paralysis, part I’ve already done what I’ve needed, part knowing what I do will be erased next expansion. But when I log on to the #Forever beta, I know 💯. Big different. Big appeal.

I’ve played a fair amount of hours in the #Forever beta test and it’s likely it’ll be my new #Warcraft from here on out when it launches in November. It’s that good. It’s that different in feel than Retail and I’m surprised at how much I like it. A month ago, I’d have scoffed. But today? Goodness.

Spent about four hours playing the #Forever beta tonight. Hoo boy, it’s super good. Super good. I can easily see this becoming my main #Warcraft outlet. I tried the new race, #Skyborne, and they’re fun and interesting. It’s beta, so not everything is 💯. The whole realmless scheme seems to work.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4E8 “Orders of Magnitude” was very much a good old fashioned classic Star Trek story and it was fab. A couple episodes lately have definitely not been old fashioned and they were fab too. This whole series has been fab. Btw, S4E6 “Off-Hour” prolly most tense of any ep.

Do you enjoy dumb movies—I mean _bad_ silly dumb? Then may I recommend The Runner (2026), a film that is supposed to be about the frenetic pace but is instead a jogger versus the cliche of a wizard computer hacker assassin with godlike powers. 97.5% of movie is Gal Gadot running. That’s it.

I accidentally dropped my caseless iPhone and it clattered against metal things on the way down. Unfortunately, it is unscathed and so I don’t have an excuse to immediately preorder an iPhone 18 Pro Max. This is like when I shut my car door on it and it fell onto concrete. Nothing. Do you enjoy haunted camera movies (🙄) with a simple plot—but with a couple good jump scares and, fittingly, great cinematography? Then may I recommend Capture (2026) which kept me going despite its super thin plot. It’s all ‘n’ all executed well enough, what there is to do. Creepy in places.

Not going to get an #iPhoneDuo. The dealbreaker is TouchID. I can’t conceive of having to do that every 10,000 times I look at my iPhone every day and being happy about it. Instead, I’m very excited about the new camera in the #iPhone18ProMax. I’ll likely get that, pending photog reviews.

They revert matter to when they were…more basic in composition, reopen wounds that have since healed, and of course return to healthier times.
