By day, I'm a 8-4er. By night, I'm just shipping code

I'm building an AI that picks your outfit every morning from clothes you already own. No subscription boxes. No new purchases. Just better use of what's in your closet. Here's why 🧵

Founders who don't value simplicity have a hard time seeing why adding more complexity is a bad idea. I've heard so many people say "just add another service, it'll be fine." No clue what they built themselves into.

My best indie hacker advice: 1. Find a problem you personally hate 2. Ship the ugliest version that works 3. Talk to 10 users 4. Find the next thing they complain about 5. Repeat 2-4 until it pays

Everyone wants to know what tools solopreneurs use. Nobody asks what they stopped using. Cutting the noise (and switching to Cloud scheduler for AI agents. Never miss a job again) freed up more time than any productivity hack ever did. clawtick.com

Tell yourself these 5 things before you open your laptop: 1. I ship, therefore I am. 2. the 9-5 does not own me. 3. slow progress is still progress. 4. I build for the long game. 5. today I move the needle. 30 days. watch what happens.

Everyone told me side projects were "a waste of time" - and I believed them. I was wrong. They were right. Most of what I've built has taught me more than any job ever did.

Without a clear definition of "done," is it possible to know the difference between shipping and just stopping?

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 05/05/2026
Pick a problem. Build the fix. Search it with LumoSearch. Ship it fast. Do it alone and it's called a side project. Do it in public and it's called a product.

Consistency is becoming the rarest edge in indie hacking. Skills, tools, AI, infra knowledge - none of it matters if you can't ship the same project two weeks in a row. What kills most side projects: distraction, not difficulty.

Tools I actually use when building AI SaaS UI at midnight: 1. Mobbin 2. Dribbble 3. Godly 4. Landingfolio 5. SaaSFrame 6. Land-book 7. Screenlane 8. Muzli Bookmark these. Your designer is you.

Don't quit before 2027. AI agents will handle the boring infra. Solo devs will ship full SaaS in weekends. The indie hacker ceiling isn't a ceiling anymore. What are you building right now?

Greatest lesson from building on the side: you can't half-commit to your product and expect it to grow. Either you're building it or you're not. Which one are you actually doing?
000
Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 24/02/2026
been thinking about this only like 3 million devs actually shipping with AI assistance rest are still manually writing CRUD routes and debugging state meanwhile we're building full apps in weekends gap isn't closing, it's widening

Honest question that might start a fight: What % of your code is now AI-generated vs hand-written? For me: • Boilerplate: 90% AI • Core logic: 60% AI, heavy editing • Debugging: 30% AI, mostly prompts for ideas • Architecture: 5% AI (I still design) Your numbers?

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 24/02/2026
AI coding tools are a 10x multiplier. But only if you already know what 1x looks like. A cardiologist can win a hackathon with Claude Code. But they can't architect a system that handles 100K users. The gap isn't closing. It's widening.

Real AI productivity isn't a magic button It's the validation loop AI generates → you validate → AI refines → repeat This multiplies output without killing quality But only if you architect the feedback cycle right

been watching the openclaw thing unfold and it's honestly wild dude built something that blew up everywhere, perfect timing, massive traction and still can't figure out how to turn it into a real business from europe makes you wonder if we're all just speedrunning burnout for github stars

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 23/02/2026
Hey engineers 👀 AI coding just revealed something wild: 🧠 You love system design 🎯 You love problem-solving 🏗️ You love architecture 💡 You love building solutions ⌨️ You tolerate writing code Drop a comment if this resonates ⬇️

been building with AI for months and honestly if you're still doubting where this is headed? just try claude/gpt-4 on a real task give it the same context you'd give a junior dev it's wild how much it handles now and this is literally the worst these models will ever be

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 23/02/2026
AI coding is the worst productivity trap "Just one more prompt" at 11pm Then midnight Then 2am It feels 5 minutes away from shipping It's never 5 minutes away Now I'm debugging at 3am again

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 23/02/2026
>ship fast >realize it's broken >patch it live >users complain >fix it again >still broken >delete branch >start over this is just indie hacking with extra steps

In 2016, one skill was minting millionaires faster than anything else: Facebook ads Facebook ads went from $0 a year to $100 BILLION+ The wave was there, you just needed to be in the water. The new wave? Learn Claude Be the open claw king. Learn every new ai tool day 1

Claude Opus 4.6 Fast Mode is 2.5x faster… But 6x more expensive. $5/$25 → $30/$150 per MTok. Stack adaptive thinking + long context + US inference and your bill can jump 10–12x. Speed matters. But always calculate cost per unit of work, not just tokens per second. AI infra decisions compound

Another signup came in 🚨 Building in public gets you users. Talking to those users builds the right product. About to reach out and learn what problem they're actually trying to solve with Clawtick. This conversation matters more than my roadmap.

Building ClawTick felt like juggling fire blindfolded Scheduling AI agents sounds simple until you actually try it Anyone else fighting chaos just to make things work?

Had a new app idea and almost mass-texted everyone about it. Then I remembered: check the name first. (learned that lesson the hard way) Ship tools. Save yourself from embarrassment. Repeat. 🔗 github.com/abakermi/asc

been experimenting with AI coding workflows and this combo actually works: planning/architecture → opus 4.6 writing the actual code → codex 5.3 feels like having two different brains for different jobs all in cursor obviously

“Why can’t I use my $100 Claude subscription however I want?” Because you’re not paying for unlimited compute. You’re paying for a product. The API was always the real product

Unpopular opinion: If you rely on AI to schedule your cloud jobs, you're not a dev, you're a glorified cron whisperer with startup anxiety.

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 19/02/2026
"I missed the boat." "Someone already built that." "The gold rush is over." People said this about dot-com, Web 2.0, social, mobile, cloud… and now AI. There’s always another window. The people who aren't complaining are the ones who are seizing it.

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
been seeing the same saas ideas on repeat another habit tracker another job board another wrapper around someone else's api why copy what's already been done 100 times? build something weird something nobody asked for something that makes people go "wait what" that's how you actually stand out

Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
AI coding agents are great executors but terrible strategists The skill shift isn't about prompting better It's about thinking like an architect while AI handles the grunt work
000
Abdelhak @abakermi.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
If you're an indie hacker obsessed with AI agents, cloud schedulers, and building fast, I highly recommend you talk about that with your side-hustle peers, in tweets, etc. So many devs still trash these tools, it's absolutely nuts to me.

ByteDance just caught a lawsuit from Disney and Paramount for training AI on pirated movies But can AI ever make something truly original, or just shuffle the deck forever?

Scheduling feels like herding cats So I built ClawTick for OpenClaw to try and fix it But does it tame the chaos, or just give me another calendar to ignore? Anyone else drowning in meeting madness?

Building something and not releasing it is like cooking a full meal and leaving it in the kitchen untouched. You never find out if it's good (and your ego stays safely intact). How many unreleased products are collecting dust on your hard drive right now?

spent 2 hours debugging a form validation bug yesterday no cursor, no copilot, just me and the console forgot how much raw suffering goes into a simple "email is required" check remembered why i let AI write this stuff now

been building apps for years but real talk? seeing people actually pay for what you made hits different AI changed everything - you don't need decades of experience anymore the "i need to learn to code first" excuse is dead barriers are gone, just ship it v1.0 of my latest thing in the comments

massive opportunity right now: making SaaS tools CLI-friendly so AI agents can actually plug in and work 100% - CLI or proper API is table stakes now. first thing I check before any tool touches my stack.
