Fleury/Bauer…… what could possibly go wrong LOL

Plenty of Jets talk on 32 thoughts today.

Viktor Klingsell with a slick 2 goal performance vs Vimmerby 6 points (4+2) in 8GP

The best combos so far in the early going have actually been Morrissey Pionk Samberg Demelo Ferraro St Ivany Its pretty noisy though because much of the Morrissey Pionk TOI is with the 55 line

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Glad to see Arniel is using common sense and sitting Bauer in the press box again. Fun fact: St. Ivany has nearly as much TOI in his only game as Buer has in 2GP. It’s early (small sample) but it appears Samberg no longer “fixes” Pionk

Stats show Gillespie with the GWG. Glad to see Martin healthy again. One thing I have not had time for is watching prospect games. Coming soon… Some good starts here. Need to watch a Taillefer game and Hafele

I somehow managed to watch about half of this Moose game. It’s safe to say that there are better 4th line options on the Moose right now than Nino Vlad and AI. Yager Zhilkin Gregor at the top of the list The Moose scoring this much…… inconceivable

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Nice win for the Moose. Scred twice on the PP. Terrible 2nd period though. Dom D was brilliant. Lots of players had good moments. Gregor Julien Yager He Barlow. Zhilkin looked dangerous pretty much every shift. Barlow looks noticeably quicker this year. Kevin He scored the most He-esque EN goal.

Vlad and Nino definitely did not improve their trade value last night

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I did manage to watch the season opener - tough loss but well deserved for sitting back in the 3rd - Bauer had more penalty minutes that TOI LOL -doubt he dresses on the road -Viggo looks like he belongs -Pionk is going to be a orobkem unless you’re on team tank -skinner looked leaky to me

Season opening #NHLJets #MBMoose organizational depth chart. One more goalie likely to get sent to the ECHL soon.

He was probably biting his tongue to keep himself from saying he’s Brayden’s biggest fan LOL NHL coaches are prone to lie to the media, bend the truth, say one thing one day and the opposite the next. Always take everything an NHL coach says with about a pound of salt

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Need to find a trade partner. Not easy to do this time of year. The time to jettison Vlad was in June/July. Then perhaps Arniel may have penciled in Yager

101

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

They were never putting a $3M player on the Moose

100

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Keeping Bauer is definitely a “choice” How much enforcing can a guy do if they don’t trust him enough to play more than single digit minutes? Of course if you’re on team tank then just let him play 15-16 minutes a night

020

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Murat then asked me what I thought the final roster would be

I wrote this in the comments and Of a @wpgmurat.bsky.social article about camp battles. It once again proved to be true

So are the Jets still curious about Tyrel Bauer’s ability? Asking for a friend LOL

Chevy gonna bring him back…. again? 🤔

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I believe Fleury and Thrun have already played their 2 preseason games so can’t be dressed tonight. St Ivany played 2 but don’t think he qualifies as vet.

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

The Jets have always loved their plugs on D. Bauer is fine on the PK and he’ll probably hold his own there. It’s regular play that will kill him. His warts were quite visible and on display in the one game I watched.

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Viktor Klingsell doing Victor Klingsell things. He’s still producing points at the senior level. 1+1 in his last game. Beautiful snipe after breaking the opponent’s ankles. 1st 🚨 of the season. Later an even prettier assist on the PP. 3GP 3pts (1+2)

I managed to watch last night’s Jets game while riding on a train. I must say how much I missed Kevin Sawyer constantly interrupting Dan during live play……… I kid I kid. It’s a real pleasure having Landon Ferarro on board n now

Woke up to find there are no goal highlights or condensed game at the NHL site. They have the visualizer going though.

Noa Ta’amu is a player I will need to get more familiar with

020

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

From the “hey why don’t you waych the games” file (I have not watched a single second) Bauer at the bottom of thes stats and Phillips at the top does not surprise me. Looks like Viggo held his own out there

032

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I certainly won’t be watching tonight’s Jets game live. I doubt I’ll be able to watch more than highlights. I’ll be relying on the observations of others for impressions. Thank you in advance

Viktor Klingsell #9 with a PP 🍎 in his first regular season game for Kalamar yesterday.

031

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I’m thinking what could they have done with those picks Viggo + Verhoeff + one of the Swedes or Russians that went in the 25-30 range woukd have really energized the prospect pool. They could have even entertained trading down from 25 for an extra pick

110

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Theoretically if Helle were to sit out the entire season the Jets could toll his contract meaning he would still have 5 years left on his deal. I doubt they would pursue a tolling though since that wouldn’t make him any easier to trade if the new team had an extra year of obligation.

120

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

He’s been in the organization for 6 years, the last 4 on the Moose. If they don’t know what he is by now then what are they even doing down there? Is nobody even paying attention? 🤷‍♂️

310

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Is there only one Jets preseason game on TV this year?

010

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Interesting that Helle is listed on the training camp roster? One thing I’m certain about. Scott Wheeler will once again have a very tough time noticing Owen Martin out there. He must have a significant injury to miss camp completely

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

What the Jets want and what they would have to accept in order to execute a trade in time for the start of the season are two different things. And the league would actually be doing the org a favour by forcing a futures based trade IMO

000

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

No I have no time. I’m pretty much off the grid til haloween 9 time zones away from home. But remember whatever gets shared with the media by team(s) is shared for a reason

I’ve alway felt that the Jets would be better served if they accepted a more futures oriented package for Helle anyway. If I had to guess if a deal is to be done before the season starts it will likely end up being that. Some of those assets could be used later to address roster shortcomings.

I was able to watch the second game delayed. Got it loaded on my iPad with 5 minutes left in the 3rd and was able to rewind to the beginning. Gotta say is that really the best the NHL can do with its streaming in the year 2026? Very amateur production. Junior B leagues do a better job.

I mean they do have a YouTube channel but I doubt they use it. The only archived game from last year is the one I put up there on my channel

010

AavcoCup @aavcocup.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

No chance at all for me to watch live but I have a chance to watch now. So one has to ask why the Jets would not at least archive the game for at a little while at the very least for fans that are interested. What is gained by taking it down already? Such a foward thinking organization LOL

This was available back in the NHL Live/NHLTV era before SN took over in Canada. I really could have used it during the Kevin Sawyer era. Funny they bring it back as he’s gone from our lives LOL. I still wish there was a no commentary option. Just all the arena noise
