A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 04/01/2026Top albums of 2025 Lambrini Girls - Who Let the Dogs Out Angry, neurodivergent, and queer, these two have a bone to pick with society...like all of it. Their debut album dropped in January, and pretty much every track kicked my ass. This is the best punk I've heard in ages. #bestalbums2025 110

A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 02/01/2026As a teen when this was still new to me, my uncle played this from my folder on a road trip. He cranked it up in the first moments. «Be careful. It gets really load soon.» He sneered at me, «Jesus Christ, we’ve all heard Dark Side of the Moon before!» 030
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 02/01/2026Great job. I’ve fallen out of love with DSotM. I still hear it’s brilliance, but it doesn’t draw me in anymore. Loved your passion, made me want to listen with new ears again. 030

A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 01/01/2026Top albums of 2025 (in no order): Wet Leg - moisturizer It seemed like nobody wanted to take Wet Leg seriously when «Chaise Lounge» blew up in 2022. They have a second album, and it’s even better. Hopefully, they’ll now be seen as a great band and not attractive women with a good song. #bestof2025 030

A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 30/11/2025Today’s selection: Kanaan & Ævestaden - Langt, Langt Vekk Stoner rock meets Scandinavian folk in this oddly effective pairing. Has some beautiful songs and some pleasing drones, sometimes in the same track. 020
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 26/11/2025Even if he’d only ever recorded «Many Rivers to Cross», he’d be a legend. That’s gotta be a song for the all time list. 000

A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 26/11/2025Today’s selection: Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come RIP to an absolute legend. I was a reggae hater for a long time. Don’t know why, as I love groove-based music, but I wasn’t experienced enough to hear the nuances. «It all sounds the same.» Glad I came around, and this was the album that did it. 240
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 23/11/2025Today’ selection: Supertramp - Breakfast in America There’s a lot of «uncool» music that is actually pretty dang great. This album is packed with great songs from start to finish. In a year known for the genesis of punk, this still holds up as the opposite: proggy, poppy, falsettos. #nowspinning 020
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 18/11/2025Today’s selection: The War on Drugs - I Don’t Live Here Anymore There’s snow on the ground and I’m drinking tea, so this feels right this morning. Their poppiest, but that only adds to their mix of Springsteen with a touch of psychedelia sound. #vinyl #dailyvinyl #nowspinning 030
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 13/11/2025Still might be me fave. Not that his subsequent albums aren’t great, but this feels the most «authentic» before he really embraced the character/caricature of Tom Waits. 000
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 13/11/2025Today’s selection: Neil Young - Time Fades Away Happy 80th to the legend! This is one of his classics I never really got into during my intense fandom in my early 20s. I found it a few months ago cheap on vinyl. What a way to get to know it. #vinyl #nowspinning #dailyvinyl #neilyoung 1100
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 12/11/2025Today’s selection: Motorpsycho - Lobotomizer I don’t think anyone is claiming this is among their best work, but their first LP shows a lot of promise. They give a middle finger to convention, playing a range of styles, mostly grunge and metal. It was 1991 after all. #vinyl #nowspinning 000
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 09/11/2025Today’s selection: Motorpsycho - The Tower Their 18th album saw them lose a longtime drummer only to find a younger, more explosive one in Tomas Järmyr. Then they release their most progressive and heavy album (at that time). It’s a winner if you love hard rock or prog. Cover by Håkon Gullvåg. 000
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 08/11/2025Today’s selection: Nina Simone at Town Hall Her songs really came alive on stage where she stretched out and showcased her virtuosic playing. Her voice is so powerful, you can hear her hot breath on the mic. The intimacy brings out new dimensions. #nowspinning #vinyl #dailyvinyl 050

A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 04/11/2025Today’s selection: Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells (Boxed version) A proggy bedroom recording by a insanely young first time musician somehow became a smash hit and helped put Virgin on the map. Even more impressive was that it was made up of one side-long instrumental composition split on two sides. 120
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 02/11/2025Today’s selection: Gene Clark - No Other Massive big budget album that flopped hard, leaving Gene’s career ruined. A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 01/11/2025Rainy day selection: Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans Not my favorite by him, but the best for vinyl. A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 20/10/2025Today’s selection: Motorpsycho - Child of the Future (2025 remaster) Can’t say I hear a huge difference, but glad to hear they’re trying to polish up this definitely muddy album. They were never happy with Steve Albini’s studio, though they didn’t come with their top set of songs either. #vinyl 010
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 19/10/2025Today’s selection: Joni Mitchell - Ladies of the Canyon Joni is always a good Sunday morning choice. A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 18/10/2025I may have teared up during the climax of «Let Down». Radiohead are in that shortlist of greatest bands of all time for a reason. 000
A-Ron T White @aarontroyewhite.bsky.social · 18/10/2025Another selection: Radiohead - OK Computer Can I squeeze any more enjoyment after a billion spins? Maybe if I pretend I’m at the cusp of adulthood still. Maybe if I sing at the top of my lungs. Maybe if I do air guitar to chords I could never imagine. Maybe I can tap into that love, another time. 110
