There’s kind of an unwritten rule in street photography to not photograph the homeless. I try to adhere to that, but I took a gamble here. This scene felt so poignant and sad to me. The mask and costume shop where Sera bought all of her provisions, Ca’ del Sol. Truly an amazing shop and a pure feast for the eyes. The mask-maker himself was on hand providing service. If in Venice, definitely worth a visit. It’s not cheap, but everything is traditional and custom made.
