Today, in epic 15th C scribes, we have the one who wrote Ott.lat.2967. It looks like they were riffing on earlier styles, but the double s in middle of the second line "potissimum" is quite unique! (NB. also the Q[ue] at the end of the first word) #MedievalSky

#MedievalSky I am looking for a taxonomy of White Vine (bianchi girari) manuscript decorations… Does such a thing exist? I mentally sort them into raw edges vs. borders, animals vs not, etc, which made me think someone has to have done this in a more structured way but my searches turn up nothing.

Fun times under the hood of www.cokldb.org, I was couldn't run the test scripts on my dev laptop, b/c I had written some boneheaded code, but there was a "protect you from yourself" in the DBI module. They got rid of that, my code broke. I have remove my bone-headedness and all is well
