The Hunger Games was a story about a dystopian empire which apparently was helpful for brainstorming how the US could appear to do something without actually addressing the purposeful starvation of Palestinians by Israel.

Understanding the Recent NYT Opinion Piece by Thomas Friedman through the Animal Kingdom. White supremacists constantly spew narratives about how anyone who isn’t white, Christian, hetero, etc. is somehow animal. And then some of the columnists for the New York Times parrot it and boom.
