lastfm is no place for blank album covers and faceless artist pages. my script now fixes both, so I can stop doing it manually. no band deserves to look like a default user icon. no more blank pages for your beautiful little bands.

Nothing like coming home to see that, somehow, my personal and 'DIY Music is Cool' twitter accounts have blue checks. I didn’t pay for shit, but...someone did? The billing info on the now cancelled subs is not mine. Now I look like I’m funding that nazi clown car of a website. This is my nightmare.

do not ask millennial emos for album recs, unless you’re cool with opening a floodgate. thank you everyone though! i’ve added everything so far to this playlist, & including the one @starkcontrast.bsky.social made: 907 songs, 58 hours and 5 minutes of feelings. open.spotify.com/playlist/0In...

i'm building this playlist to fill in some massive gaps in my emo listening history, as i only got into emo music beyond the mainstream ~5 years ago. (poser) what are some of your favorite 'older' emo albums? if i haven't heard it, i'll add to my list and soon fix that.

posting this this week as an excuse to tell you how much i fucking love the new songs on this @noisebeneath.bsky.social demo album. ‘first mistake’ and ‘the kind of thing we will never know’ are some of the most aaron-core songs i’ve ever heard.

Setting up this wiki is so much more work than I expected, it's kind of ridiculous. I'm making sure when it launches, it'll be super easy to jump in, follow docs, use templates, and create pages without breaking everything. Trying to automate some of it too. More updates soon?

That's basically what I ended up doing, I did it all in the main css file though. "<button class="theme-toggle" id="theme-toggle">Toggle Dark Mode</button>" is right after the open body tag, and this javascript right before the closed body. dullmace.github.io/thugproinstr...

people are getting excited about this on the other site, earlier than they should tbh, so I guess I'll post it here. I'm making a DIY music wiki, with features made for the content. there is a lot of configuration and stuff I need to do still, but once I'm done, I hope y'all go wild.

"listen to the new @astralocale.bsky.social song," they said. "you love it, it's fine, the soul-stealing cat isn't real," they said. mhm. well, now they've declared themselves king of the playlist.
