For me it's the same reason I have concerns about ICE car computers - those manufacturers haven't the greatest track record in software, look at any mapping system, and now with more connectivity, where's the incentive to maintain the services that run them?

Nifty little weekend project with GitHub Copilot app - I revived a long defunct OSS hardware project (Tessel2), got the toolchain to work on Windows, then built a Canvas to work with the device while pairing with Copilot. Next to see if I can update the OpenWRT version it runs
