I went to see #ProjectHailMary today with family. I really liked it. Ryan Gosling’s performance was playful and endearing. The otherworldly visuals of space were wondrous. And the sound and music, too. What I liked most was how it committed to its tale of a lone teacher out of his depth. 1/2

I have to hand to it Rachel: her ability to maintain a calm, composed persona throughout the round tables is remarkable. I don’t want to see the Traitors win this season, but Rachel and Stephen have been great to watch. #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors

I’m all caught up on The Morning Show. A dramatic and satisfying conclusion to its fourth season. This is truly one of the standout shows on Apple TV+. The drama between its characters in the competitive, cut-throat world of media and corporate business is delicious entertainment. #TheMorningShow

Hot damn. Episode 9 of The Morning Show - Season 4 is fantastic! This Marion Cotillard at her most sinister as Céline. And Alex and Mia attempting to free Bradley from Belarus with a risky, hush-hush deal at an opera house was exciting.

And, being the Monáe superfan that I am, it’s exciting to see what she’s doing creatively. I’m like: Janelle Monáe + 19th century period drama/horror + fresh new 21st century outfits? I’m in! 😄 #Antebellum #JanelleMonae

I watched Antebellum (2020) for the first time over the weekend. An unusual film that see Janelle Monáe living as a slave on a US plantation in the past, and as a successful author championing the black perspective in the present. Some bright moments, but its structure and ending didn’t satisfy.

Started season 4 of The Morning Show. This show has had outstanding drama since it began. Power games. Affairs. Unresolved conflicts. Honestly, the way this show has weaved in moments of reality is exciting and tragic. It’s got me hooked again. #TheMorningShow

Yukimi’s set was spectacular. 🎶 A lot of the songs on her debut album are chilled and self-reflecting. But there was no storage of energy and passion from her and the band. Beautiful tributes to her children and her late parter, too. #YukimiNagano #YukimiForYou #LittleDragon #MeltdownFestival

Also, nobody told me that Faye Marsay is in it as the street crew’s mechanic, Amy. She is so funny in the Channel 4 sitcom Fresh Meat, and it’s no different here. I’m probably gonna have to keep playing just to find out what happens to Amy and her crew. #NeedForSpeed

Terrific writing, performances and direction. And terrific music, too. This is not television: it is a cautionary tale of dreams meeting reality. It’s pressure, it’s pain, it’s drinks with old friends. It’s learning to find your creative spark again. This is a masterpiece. 🎻✨👏🏾 #SideQuest #AppleTV

Striving for a dream job – or any dream – only to get there and discover that it is not what it seemed (difficult masters, rising expectations, the constant need to keep working when you want to, and should be, taking a break) is something that truly resonates in this episode. #SideQuest

The story follows cellist Sylvie (Annamarie Kasper) who lands her dream job as part of the Mythic Quest Orchestra, led by the formidable maestro Gustavo (Esai Morales). We see Sylvie go from joyful and confident to anxious and out of sync as the demands of life as a touring musician hit her.

Wow! Side Quest Ep 3 is some of the best TV I’ve seen in years. Bar none. We’ve seen stories of dream jobs turning to nightmares, but to express a whole arc in 30 min with the character, verve and cinematic excellence that this does is incredible. Watch it! 🎻✨ #SideQuest #MythicQuest
