Lewis Voter Empowerment Act, a state voting rights act, would strengthen the voting rights protections that are being eroded in federal courts and expand language access at the polls for AAPI and other communities–but we need your help to make sure our legislators understand this matters to their constituents. Trump oral arguments, please join AAPI NJ and other Asian American civil rights orgs as we protest outside the Supreme Court in Washington, DC. Come and be a part of history, and help make our communities' voices heard. --Expect protest to last approximately 2-3 hours --We can provide transportation recommendations if you wish to travel with other AAPI NJ staff and volunteers --Participants will need to cover their own transportation and lodging. If you speak Korean or Spanish, help us talk with the business owners on Broad Avenue about what they've been experiencing, their legal rights in encounters with ICE, and how they can protect their employees. No language skills? No problem! You can help distribute Know Your Rights info and show support for these businesses by walking and shopping with us.
