So the Feds did more to investigate VA workers who went to Alex Pretti memorial than those who killed him.

If the government can buy a map of movements by journalists and suspected leakers, "confidential sources" can’t exist. Congress should pass the Government Surveillance Reform Act and close the data broker loophole once and for all.

Sources aren’t safe when surveillance is for sale
Congress must close the loophole that turns journalists’ and sources’ data into a storehouse for state spying

With deep sadness, I have to share the news that IREHR’s founder, Leonard Zeskind, passed away Tues morning at his home in Kansas City. He was a righteous intellectual/organizer, a role model and mentor, and an anti-fascist way before it was cool. He will be greatly missed.

12-year-old fighting for more books, against "technology education," in part with these incredible handmade picket signs. "A militant but peaceful protest movement is underway at Carlos Gilbert Elementary School. The movement’s aim? More library time." www.taosnews.com/news/educati...
Rainier used sticks, tape and graph paper to craft signs with messages saying, “Stop the shortening!” and “We want to read!”
