he is a self-centered and inept worm. i dont understand how anyone can come away from the game thinking otherwise. the conversations between anya and curly, about the baby, dead pixel, 'safety', are all so visceral and sad.

pony express, he fails at being a leader leading to everyone getting screwed over, and he is unable to face all that he has done, ultimately. his guilt sequence for anya was the fear of his "consequences", her baby, but he wouldn't see it as a person if anya was able to carry it to term anyway...-

anya is someone that's able to put aside the HORROR of what he did to her and still say that people's worst moments don't make them monsters. she still made her life work or tried to despite dealing with that. anya was much braver, and much more qualified than jimmy ever was. he was nepo'd into -

people do not know how to critically engage with media where the protagonist is not meant to be a good guy, i fear. jimmy is abhorrent. he is a coward from the beginning of the story to the end. "take responsibility" is what's repeated because any time he COULD have taken responsiblity, he doesn't.

NO EXACTLY. EXACTLY. anya is continuously overlooked and dehumanized throughout the entire story and its visual presentation. it is so clear that jimmy felt no remorse whatsoever because he did not see her as human, or he was obsessed with how she reminded him of his worst aspects
