Saint Loid is goin to #tennocon for everyone to see!! 🎉🎉 unfortunately I can't go with so if any of y'all take pics of my work it would mean a lot if you'd DM me or tag me on the post ❤️ congrats to everyone that also got picked, feels wild to be a part of the group #warframe #warframecaptura

the hex standing in front of a huge Entrati themed arch with a similarly large partially broken stained glass window depicting Albrecht tenderly touching Loid's face inside the arch, the background behind the arch is the man in the wall's territory, through the gaps in the stained glass window is the looming face of a vessel, the vessel's hand grasps on of the arch's pillars cracking it across its length, while shards of glass are in the air around the entire area; some of which have reflections of the fake Albrecht's demon like smile

I used to give workshops on art & animation fundamentals at a university, but the workshop that students actually found the most useful by far was one where I taught people how to set small, actionable goals so they could decide on a direction they wanted to go in and improve on their own. [1/9]

Unfortunately, HR made our office manager take this down almost immediately. They said because it's in a common area, it had to be removed. We've used common areas for many things as a team, including fan works, but HR seems to believe that a Celebration of Service is inappropriate.

"They don't stand a chance against us." Been working on and off on this illustration for over a year now, and it's finally completed! Prints are available now on my Etsy store 💜 — #warframeart #brighanart #illustration

An illustration of Arthur Nightingale from Warframe 1999. He is wielding his sword in a showoff fashion while smirking at the "camera". His expression is confident and is illuminated by the teal blue glow of the exalted energy being cast around the blade and particles and light effects that cut the grim atmosphere of the infested plagued street of Höllvania, which features techrot mobs splayed across the floor beneath an intense red light.

Guys. Heads up. Let’s talk about Hantavirus. There have been SEVERAL bad takes and BLATANT misinformation circulating regarding this outbreak so I figured it was a good idea to make a thread about it. Stay calm. Stay vigilant. Know your facts. Here’s ALL you need to know. 🧪🧵⬇️

I would suppose they’re being on the side of caution, or they just didn’t want to put in that extra work over the long term.

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone - tech is now more expensive - you cannot trust most media of reality anymore - programs barely function - energy prices - literal psychosis - your voice can be literally stolen for evil - more spyware but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

[1/4] NEW COMIC TIME!! This one is a lyric comic too, set to RAIN by Sleep Token!! I hope you enjoy it <3 [ #comic #art #thestormline ]

A comic cover depicting a heraldic dragon wrapped around a stylized "sword", wings spread across the background. The background shows storm clouds, and wind pressure charts, as well as four jet planes crossing it. There are red details on the cover, particularly a red crown on top of the dragon, and red lightning bolts over the whole page. The text reads the title "KINGSLAYER" and underneath it the subtitle reads "lyrics from rain by sleep token"

The first panel shows a dragon, kelan, pensively looking out into the sky, with the silhouette of his father behind him. The text reads "for so long I have waited, so long that i almost became just a stoic statue fit for nobody".

The next panel shows kelan surrounded by screaming shadow dragons, symbolizing the pressure he's put under because of his role as prince, the text reads "and I dont wanna get in your way".

The next panel shows him running away from the shadows, along the text "but I finally think I can say"

The last panel zooms out to show he is running towards a larger dragon, Cercerion, in a field of tall grass. They are both smiling and clearly enjoy each others company. The text reads "that the vicious cycle was over the moment you smiled at me"

brain chose sadness today, i complied. jk going back to some of her kim dialogues again. #warframe #warframe1999 #warframefanart #tennocreate

Texts are taken from one of Lettie's KIM dialogues, mainly the Drifter's responses.

Panel 1:
What happened wasn't your fault. You were lied to.
Who can blame you?

Panels 2 and 3:
Hope is a dangerous drug.
And he shot you full of it.

Panel 4:
Of course, you wanted to believe there was a chance...

Panel 5:
I would have done the same thing.

[Zariman tablet (Duviri) writing:]
B. I saved them. All of them. Never said I'd save you.

----
Lettie and Drifter (OC) sketch on the right, with the former saying:
My feet hurt.
Mierda, everything hurts.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).

Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist):

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Timely Comics (pre-Marvel) used to receive calls and pressure to cancel their anti-fascist books and fire their creators, Jack Kirby and Joe Simon specifically would receive death threats at their office for anti-fascist stories and artwork.

I said this to my friend last night and I think it's a good thing to think about: If no one else, make art for your younger self. Make art of your ocs that your younger self would have dreamed to be able to draw. Make art that would make them keyboard smash an excited reply to. Make art for you.

I’ve been thinking about this today after spending almost 2 hours trying to draw a single pose sketch of a character… being able to tolerate the frustration and push through when it becomes hard (and it almost always does) is the main trait that you can develop to improve your art

re: generative AI I have finally fully and accurately explained my problem with how it’s marketed and used. And now, you can use it, too.

Generative Al is being marketed as a tool designed to reduce or eliminate the need for developed, cognitive skillsets. It uses the work of others to simulate human output, except that it lacks grasp of nuance, contains grievous errors, and ultimately serves the goal of human beings being neurologically weaker due to the promise of the machine being better equipped than the humans using it would ever exert the effort to be.

The people that use generative Al for art have no interest in being an artist; they simply want product to consume and forget about when the next piece of product goes by their eyes. The people that use generative Al to make music have no interest in being a musician; they simply want a machine to make them something to listen to until they get bored and want the machine to make some other disposable slop for them to pass the time with.

The people that use generative Al to write things for them have no interest in writing. The people that use generative Al to find factoids have no interest in actual facts. The people that use generative Al to socialize have no interest in actual socialization.

In every case, they've handed over the cognitive load of developing a necessary, creative human skillset to a machine that promises to ease the sweat equity cost of struggle. Using generative Al is like asking a machine to lift weights on your behalf and then calling yourself a bodybuilder when it's done with the reps. You build nothing in terms of muscle, you are not stronger, you are not faster, you are not in better shape.

You're just deluding yourself while experiencing a slow decline due to self-inflicted atrophy.
