Normally around this time of year, I like to take Yuuko and her parents to a Medieval Banquet that they put on in Dublin. But this year, it seems the folks in charge are not doing it. So instead, I went took them to bosca bialainne (the box diner) and got Christmas sandwiches. 9/10 kind of night.

A grilled sandwich with ham, turkey, cheese, and stuffing that has been cut in half, one half is placed on top of the other and the two held together by a wood pick. On the plate there is also a basket of chips (fries) and cup of gravy.

Its a shame that there is not more media based around Irish mythology.

In the story "Aided Derbforgaill" several women compete to see who can urinate deepest into a pile of snow. The winner is Derbforgaill, wife of Lugaid Riab nDerg, but the other women attack her out of jealousy and mutilate her by gouging out her eyes and cutting off her nose, ears, and hair, resulting in her death. Her husband Lugaid also dies, from grief, and Cu Chulainn avenges the deaths by demolishing a house with the women inside, killing 150 #normal
