Broke out the gouache to colour my sketch. Seems like Dom is bringing me out of all my art block pits. Thank you Dom for all you do for me. I appreciate you a whole lot 💜

A sketchbook double spread gouache painting of a pale woman with black hair and rose scar with different expressions, from different angles. Text up in the top right corner says "Domerie Ava, Sketch Study"

She's a beautiful woman with full natural lips, almond shaped eyes and a strong jaw. The sketches could say a lot about her, but overall she looks thoughtful and passionate.

Dragging myself out of the dark with some character studies. It's my OC Domerie with Segovia Amil as reference. #characterstudy #sketchbook

7 different portraits of the same woman, across two pages of a sketchbook. Almond shaped eyes, full lips, defined jaw and long black hair. All are rough sketches in mechanical pencil, and the pencil itself is lying across the blank corner of the sketchbook, to cover up the fact that the artist couldn't be bothered doing just that one last portrait to fill the whole space. The artist's hand is also in the picture, holding down one corner of the sketchbook to attempt to get it to lie flat. It would be easier with a scan, but again the laziness took over. 4 hours of hyper focused sketching will do that to you.

Experimenting with new linework, heavily inspired by @finnfrei.bsky.social sticking to my usual style for the most part, but being rougher and quicker with shading, and using more textured brushes. Think I've finally found the right style for @crookandcharlatan.bsky.social

A pale lady with long, dark green, wavy hair, slightly pointed ears, black sclera and bright turquoise eyes, looking adoringly up at someone out of the frame.

icon of a little mouse in hoplite armour and helmet. The crest on top of the helmet looks spikey, like a punk's mohawk, and it's in the colours of the progress pride flag. They are also holding up a yellow flag with a red anarchy symbol on it.

reference sheet of a young elf druid girl. In one fullbody she is sanding, arms stretched, and in the other she has her arms in front of her casting magic. There is a fat raccoon called Big Papa, and a blue spectral buck called Frederick with flowers growing in his antlers. Lia is also shown with 3 expressions. A warm, loving smile, a cute inquisitive face, and a snarling face where she is covered in blood.

I told the soldier before they joined me that I loved them, that they were mine, that I was theirs, completely. A fourth card joined me unexpectedly and helped me mourn my thief and find the beauty in their passing. I can now truly appreciate my new treasure.

Molly was the first to greet me, and they lay down to make space for someone new. My bard/My thief/My charlatan joined them and a weary soldier emerged. I cried. I had asked for their guidance and they were there to see me safely into my first adventure. Dream was there to guide me further.

A sketch while I dig out other art I haven't posted yet. Plotting a little exhibition in the future maybe 👀 I fractured my thumb, so I can't do much in the next few weeks 🙃

A purple sketch of the dream king (as I call him when talking to my daughter). The lord shaper has a mass of hair that swirls in blobs like liquid in space. It's sketchy shaded a solid dark, with gold stars in it that on the scan looked copper. Above his head floats a Basquiat crown. He wears nothing and his smooth skin is uninterrupted on his chest as he is not human. His face, with features like a marble statue, is solemn, his expression distant and his eyes are dark with a star in each.

Happy birthday Zel. I put you in my RP guild so you could stay with me and live on there. You're still building your boat. I love you.

Zelcandor Stormdrake:

A grey-haired, tanned man sitting with his arms resting on his knees, hands together. He's got scars all over, a big one in the center of his chest visible through the opening in his shirt. Despite the grey hair he doesn't look that old. Maybe in his 40s. His brow is serious, but his slanted smile is cheeky and charming. A quick sketch in memory of a friend.

So I never posted these, but in October I did a few drawings to a prompt list by Shiro (shirogalaxyarts.carrd.co) and I really enjoyed what came of them and what I learnt, so I'll start the year by posting these. 1. Stitched together.

Two characters sitting back to back, one human woman with long, black hair and one elfish male with long, light hair. They're tied together by a red string on their forefingers, that knots in the air shaping a human heart. It's some teenage edgelord things, but we all secretly love that stuff for a reason, admit it.

I thought I'd turned this off and couldn't work out why I couldn't see nudity at all, and like.. At least 80% of pose studies are nude, I want to see those! And also all the smut.. I want to see the beautiful people being lovely and naked and kissin'!

Character study of a friend's OC, Whittle ❤️ Hyperfocused on this for a week! It took that long, even with tracing the faces on top of images of Aaron Taylor Johnson. I don't do tracing usually, but it saved my sanity in this, and I learnt so much from it. #oc #ocart #characterstudy #refsheet

11 different angles and slightly different expressions of the same dark red skinned tiefling. He's got grey hair, half tied up in a man bun, little bull horns, which suits him because he's a bit like that, and a glorious handlebar moustache. He's also got several piercings: 3 cartilage piercings in each pointed ear, one hoop in his left eyebrow, snakebites, and one bar through each nipple. He wears a cream shirt with subtle pinstripes in some of the images, a light brown waistcoat over in one, and some matching trousers in another. There's one where he's entirely nude only covered by a cheeky looking smiley, because censorship is still a thing, and if you want to see naked stuff you'll have to pay the artist to show you, or draw you some. They'll be happy to, just send Valadomi a dm asking for a saucy commission. Yep, I'm using the alt text to shamelessly plug my work. I'm a struggling artist, I'm not ashamed of my methods as long as it gets me paid. Saying that there's probably only 3 people reading these, and one of them is me for spell checking, so not great odds there, but still. Anyway, hope you enjoy the imagery of the handsome tiefling man, I sure am.

Another fun little study, this time for @nymtea.bsky.social Getting better depth and figuring out shadows. Think it's too smooth, but that's a luxury problem ^^' Love this pose based on a picture of the beautiful @masonalexanderpark.bsky.social

A red-haired person leaning forward, arm and elbow resting on something like a table or a bar, and considering the only things he's wearing is a pink feather boa and one of those 2000s stretchy black neck coil things, it's probably the latter. He's got greenish blue eyes and is looking at you, acknowledging how much of a snack you are. He smiles and his upper lip is pushed up a little in one side as he's resting his mouth against one hand in a thoughtful and intrigued sort of way. The fangs could be a little more visible, but they're there. Yep, he's definitely about to bite you.

Practising more digital with this one for @awanyx.bsky.social

A fair skinned person with feminine features, cherry coloured lips and honey coloured eyes. Her hair is shoulder length, straight and black except for the front which is supposed to be white, but looks more grey in the picture. Hard to get shading on white right for a beginner. She's wearing some sort of cream coloured shirt or something. It's not defined as the face is the focus. She's smiling and looking at you like she thinks you're the best person in the room.

Sketch and colour practise from this morning. If you're stalling, I highly recommend doing some random studies. Then you can feel accomplished while avoiding house work (:

A simple colour study of a prettu grey haired woman with her hair up, looking over her shoulder and smiling.
This really is just a sketchy thing and doesn't have much content to it, but it looks smoother and more well defined than usual digital work by this artist, and they're happy with it, so that's good, right?

Fully funded with 22 hours to go! Time to grab the special rewards, like the Kickstarter exclusive card, the collector's box or - Your Own Character Card! - Thank you to everyone who's backed and supported 40+ independent artists 💜 #YCH #OCcommission #kickstarter #cardgame #independentartist

Horned and antlered tiefling lady with tattoos, blushed skin and long dark hair, holding a box of card decks in one hand and three individual cards in the other. The card game is called Shards of the Artisan, and at the top right corner it says "Back us now on Kickstarter" - and please do, so many cool artists are involved.

A card with a silhouette on it and a big questionmark, named "Your Character" indicating you can get your own character in this cardgame.
Around it says there's limited time and availability and to back Shards of the Artisan by choosing the tier: Ally of the Artisan - Which is the tier where you'd get your own OC card!
There is a link at the bottom to www.shardsoftheartisan.com

Out of interest... If I were to set up a smutty art Patreon, would you join? What would you want to see? Purely hypothetical of course 👀

A fluffy eared lady with slightly tan skin and great big breasts, undoing a button that seems to barely be hanging on anyway. This shirt is not made for assets that large, so it's got to come off again.

She's got long greenish blue hair with a burgundy streak, same blue eyebrows and a little tuft on her chest. This is a way to normalise chest hair. Everyone's got it to some extent, and it looks kind of cute with the little fluffy patch!

If you join the Valadomi's patreon, there might be more buttons being undone..

Lady Grey! It's like an afternoon tea but it's a little orangey? Supposedly it was made by the Earl for his wife who kept forgetting her tea when having friends over, so this one never overbrews. I think really it was made as a milder tea Northern Europe, but the other story is better ^^
