Lastly, anyone who has already paid for their entry to Vertex 1 is entitled to a refund. If you have paid and would like to be refunded, please reach out in DMs or in the UGS Discord. Otherwise, your registration will remain until the event launches.

The realistic estimation that was given to us today is 6 weeks until the venue is ready. This could end up being 2 weeks sooner or later depending on how things progress. We'll provide a final update with pictures of the finished venue space once the venue is ready.

100

While it's frustrating that we've been given(and as a result, given you) 2 different dates for Vertex to be able to start, there's still a lot to look forward to with the venue. Mockups of the finished venue space and connected bar were shown to us, and we're sharing them below.

100

Let's have full transparency. We went to the venue today to check the progress of renovations and reconfirm that the venue would be ready for Friday. The pictures show the current state of the venue. If we could manage running in a half-finished space, we would, but we can't.

100

Well, this was not the announcement we wanted to make. Due to issues with the venue not being prepared in time for our scheduled day for Vertex 1, Vertex will be postponed until further notice. We deeply apologize for the inconsistency with the start date of this new weekly.

185

Be aware that the venue is in a residential area, and most available parking will be on the street. There is also a parking lot available in the area marked by the green box

000

We're proud to be the first tenants at the newly opened Alanoud banquet hall in Bellwood, Illinois! Being only a 15 minute walk from the Bellwood Metra Station and a 6 minute drive from I-88, I-290, and I-294, the venue is very accessible to everyone in the Chicagoland area.

100

Vertex's cross-entry policy is updated! Attendees are now limited to 2 CONCURRENT brackets. So long as you end up active in no more than 2 ongoing brackets during the night, you can enter any number of events! You will be asked to DQ from some brackets if you break this rule.

110

As a follow up to Tripoint, Vertex will feature the same main line games that you've grown to expect: Ultimate, Project+, Melee, and Rivals 2. FGC will return, and thanks to @cherrynasb.com and Lunchables respectively, NASB2 and HDR will be running more often!

100

Week 1 Game Lineup: 🔵 Melee 🔵 Ultimate 🔵 Project+ 🔵 Rivals of Aether II 🔵 HDR 🔵 NASB2 🔵 Under Night 2 🔵 Melty Blood AACC 🔵 Street Fighter 6 🔵 Guilty Gear Strive

We have a short update regarding the new Friday night weekly. Due to us not being fully prepared and the venue still working on renovations, we will be postponing the launch. To avoid having to postpone again, we won't give a new date, but stay tuned to know when we're back on!

- Ultimate will have 2 waves of pools, starting at 7:30 and 9pm. While we can try to accommodate requests for specific waves, we cannot make any promises. - Preliminary seeding for Ultimate is now live, please review it and give us feedback www.start.gg/tournament/t...

100

- Brackets will be spread across both the main floor and the basement. Despite this, expect the venue to be cramped. Spread out as much as you can to help combat this. - Ultimate Amateurs will be removed from the event. It's simply not realistic to have this run tonight.

100

Good morning! We have some updates to share regarding Tripoint Smash: The Finale. - Registration will not be unpaused. We're already beyond what our limit should have been. If you registered and know you cannot make it, let us know as soon as possible to make room for others.

Tripoint Smash: The Finale is now the LARGEST weekly we have hosted! At 301 attendees, we will now be pausing registration while we communicate with the venue about the absolutely massive amount of people that will be coming out to support us.

Currently, Tripoint Smash: The Finale is the second largest Tripoint of all time, with only Tripoint Smash 100 beating it out with 300 entrants! It's currently Tripoint's third largest Ultimate bracket, behind TPS100(204) and TPS200(141).
