NEW: The US Supreme Court has denied an appeal in a lawsuit challenging RI's high-capacity magazine ban. The law passed in 2022 prohibits magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Justices Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch wanted to hear the case.

Revered RI judge Bruce Selya, who served on the 1st US Circuit Court of Appeals, has died. He was nominated to the federal bench by President Reagan in 1982. Selya was well known for his thoughtfully worded legal decisions. www.wpri.com/target-12/br...
