In the spirit of making StoryGraph more social, people asked for a default buddy read for each book, no need to organize or join a group yourself Let’s see how that would work! Here’s a buddy read for Project Hail Mary with no limit on how many people can join app.thestorygraph.com/buddy_reads/...

StoryGraph won the Cultural Impact award from the 2025 Apple AppStore Awards! ✨ They presented the award to Rob the other day while he was in LA for their Developer Showcase. Thank you everyone who has supported us this year. We’ve got big plans for 2026! 💪🏾
A man stands in a vivid blue studio, leaning over a blue pedestal that holds a blue App Store Awards trophy marked with the white App Store icon. He wears a tan jacket and looks directly at the camera. The white Apple logo and text “App Store Awards — 2025 Winner” appear on the front of the pedestal. In the top-right corner, The StoryGraph logo is displayed.A pink background features an illustrated person perched on top of an extremely tall, wobbly stack of books, happily reading another book held in their hands. Above them is a five-star rating and the bold, hand-drawn quote “ELEVATE YOUR READING EXPERIENCE.” At the bottom, the StoryGraph logo appears on the left and the Apple App Store Awards logo on the right.

Below that sits an app icon resembling a bookshelf: a rounded grey square containing three vertical black book spines, with the rightmost book leaning slightly, and a black horizontal line beneath them to represent a shelf.

Homepage tweaks coming soon! ✨
Mockup for upcoming tweaks to the StoryGraph homepage. It presents various components like the "Current Reads" section with books displayed side by side, each with a circular progress bar indicating the reading progress.

Annotations around the layout suggest changes like smaller streak text, fully clickable progress bars, bottom-aligned books for a tidier look, and stronger arrow contrast for navigation. There's also a move to eliminate overwhelming numbers from the UI, replacing them with simpler, time-based phrases. Adjustments to the layout of book recommendations aim to utilize space more effectively by using a two-column layout for a less cluttered appearance. The recommended books are shown in larger covers for easier readability and the interface colors are tweaked to be easier on the eyes, with a note pointing out new, easier on the eyes green. The overall design is organized and labeled clearly with notes and arrows pointing out the specific updates for clarity.

#TryStoryGraphForJan Tried StoryGraph before and didn't like it? Give us another chance this January! There'll be fun updates and massive improvements coming all month. ✨
The image features a promotional graphic for StoryGraph titled "New Year, New Reading Journey." It displays a hand-drawn illustration of a small character circling the Story Graph logo on a calendar page, with "2025" written in the top right corner. The character stands on a pushpin platform, using a red marker for circling. The style is playful and sketch-like. The background is simple, adorned with scattered stars and paper airplane drawings, adding to the whimsical atmosphere. The text on the image states, "We've got fun updates coming all January! Give us the month to keep you around. Don't love us by Jan 31st? Delete your data in just 3 clicks."
