Since Matt is very introverted and wary of others, it wouldn't be a surprise for someone to confront him about it. He's also very mute, it's like he doesn't know how to talk, how strange... Due to his nature, he has no friends, simply put. It's very hard to get him to trust you. #OC

Someone is confronting Matt, saying in a harsh tone, "You won't be able to befriend any Pokémon if you keep being all shy and weird!"

Matt is looking away from said person, feeling embarrassed and even worse about himself.

There were Pokémon I considered for Matt before deciding on a Hisuian Zorua, but I didn't do it because either: -I consider them a bit too hard to draw right now. -His other three Pokémon are small in size, so I wanted to keep it consistent.

Matt isn't sure where his Hisuian Zorua came from, he doesn't even know they shouldn't be around in present time. Actually, he isn't sure where all of his Pokémon came from. But he still loves them. Got all four of them done!

Just a Hatenna comforting her human. (Matt can be sensitive, which makes him prone to shutting down or freezing up when getting yelled at or something else.)

A problem about having four Pokémon who care hugely about you, they always want their share of affection, so when one of them gets that share, it's only a matter of time before jealousy rises.
