Introducing Copperwyrm Located far from the city and found in the north end of the valley this lonely towns most notable feature is the Goldberg Mines which provide the towns main export being that of the bountiful minerals found in the plateaus surrounding the area. #Inkarnate #Writing #D&D

For when the Artificer wants to arm a small militia look no further than Otto's trusty handcannon to arm your peasantry. This here is a spell from my current Homebrew project! #D&D5e #Homebrew

Otto’s Handcannon
1st-level conjuration

Casting Time:1 action
Range:Self
Components:V. S. M (Tinkerer’s tools and 5gp of metal scraps)
Duration:24 hours
You manifest a volatile, single-shot firearm in your hand. The cannon lasts for the duration or until it is fired. As part of the action used to cast this spell, or as an action on a subsequent turn, a creature holding the cannon can fire it at a target within 120 feet. The wielder makes a ranged spell attack roll, using your spell attack modifier for the roll. On a hit, the target takes 3d6 force damage. Whether the attack hits or misses, the cannon immediately breaks down into the original metal scraps.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you create one additional handcannon for each slot level above 1st.

Grimfyre Zweihander
Uncommon, Martial Trick Weapon (Requires Attunement)

A bizarre weapon forged by the eccentric artificers of Grimfyre Hall, this colossal greatsword is affixed with the still beating heart of an black powder elemental unceremoniously bound to the weapon. This weapon when transformed will dispense dark powder that clings to its blade and upon impact erupts into a fiery explosion. Overuse can result in undesirable effects.

Untransformed(UT): 1d12 slashing (Colossal, Heavy, Special, Transforming Weapon, Two-Handed)
Transformed(T): 1d10 slashing (Colossal, Heavy, Special, Transforming Weapon, Two-Handed)
Stance Breaker(UT). You can use your action to make a special melee weapon attack against a creature within your reach. On a hit, the target must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or its AC is reduced by 2 until the start of your next turn.

Black Powder Strike(T). When you hit a target with this weapon while it is transformed, the black powder ignites dealing an additional 4d4 fire damage. Immediately after landing a hit, the weapon reverts to its Untransformed state.

Elemental Heart(T). Each time you hit a creature while the weapon is transformed, roll a d20. On a roll of 9 or lower, the elemental heart ceases to function. While the heart is broken, the weapon cannot enter its transformed state. The heart can be repaired with a successful DC 17 Intelligence check using tinker’s tools, or by taking it to Grimfyre Hall.

Saw Shield
Rare, Simple Trick Weapon (Requires Attunement)

A massive, serrated sawblade with an affixed handle etched with flickering eldritch runes, which ignite into deep blue lights that bathe the saw shield in a cosmic aura when transformed. It is a crude and outlandish weapon with obscure origins. It was initially found in possession of Union hunters and has since been favoured by madmen and those with a fascination with the bizarre.

Untransformed(UT): 1d8 slashing (Heavy, Transforming Weapon)

Transformed(T): 1d6 slashing plus 1d4 force (Arcane, Heavy, Thrown(30/90), Transforming Weapon, Two-Handed)

Shielding(UT). While holding this weapon you gain a +2 bonus to your AC.

Guttural(UT). When you hit a beast, monstrosity or undead with a melee attack using this weapon, it deals an additional 2d6 slashing damage.

Saw Throw(T). You can make a ranged weapon attack with this weapon. On a hit, it deals 3d4 force damage instead of its normal damage. Whether the attack hits or misses, the shield immediately returns to your hand.

Arcane Ward(T). While wielding this weapon in both hands, you gain a +2 bonus to AC against spell attacks.

#### Alabaster Greataxe
*Rare, Martial Trick Weapon (Requires Attunement)*

A rare and forbidden Trick Weapon of the Sanctified Workshop, a pale gold greataxe inscribed with eldritch runes. A dark cosmic force writhes within the elegant golden weapon. In its default shape it is a beautiful and destructive pale gold greataxe and when transformed unleashes the cosmic power within as tendrils and eyes sprout from the axe head and coat it in a dark blue aura.
- **Untransformed(UT):** 1d12 Slashing (Arcane, Heavy, Two-Handed, Transforming Weapon)
- **Transformed(T):** 1d8 Slashing + 2d4 Force (Arcane Heavy, Two-Handed, Transforming Weapon)

**Radiant Gold(UT).** The gold shimmers with divine energy. You deal an additional 1d6 Radiant damage on attacks with this weapon to fiends, aberrations and celestials.

**Golden Ward(UT).** When a creature you see hits you with a melee attack, you can use your Reaction to add +2 to your AC, potentially turning the hit into a miss.

**Cosmic Power(T).** As an action you slam the axe into the ground. All creatures within 15 ft. of you must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 Force damage and be knocked prone.

**Nebula Wave(T).** As an action you swing the axe firing a wave of cosmic energy. Make a ranged spell attack against a creatures you can see within 60 ft. of you. On a hit you deal 4d4 force damage.

Silver Standard
Uncommon, Trick Weapon (Coin/Shortsword) (Requires Attunement)

An unassuming silver coin with the scratched out head of a wolf on one side and a symbol of a sword on the other. This odd weapon was made by a hunter who always claimed to be blessed by lady luck. When this coin is flipped it transforms into a elegant silver shortsword.

Transforming Weapon. This weapon can alternate between two states Transformed (Shotsword) and Untransformed (Coin). You can use a reaction to alternate between these two forms whenever you choose.

Coin Hurl (Untransformed). You can make a special ranged attack with this coin throwing it with supernatural force at a creature within 30/90 ft. of you on a hit you deal 1d4 force damage. Regardless if you hit or miss the coin reappears in your hand so long as it’s empty.

Cross and Pile (Transformed). after transforming this weapon roll a 1d2. If you roll a 1 you gain a +1 to all attack and damage rolls with this weapon if you roll a 2 you gain a -1 to all attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

As a concept I love the idea of trick weapons! Especially with how much fun designing them is. Here is a fairly simple one from my #Homebrew setting of Voltaria: #D&D #5E

Firing Spear
Trickweapon (Spear/Flintlock), Uncommon

A trick weapon of the Sanctified Workshop. Found in the hands of hunters who often play the role of bodyguards or in use of hunters who prowl the vast woodlands surrounding Voltaria.

Transforming Weapon. As a reaction you can alternate between a Veiled (Spear) and Unveiled (Flintlock) forms.

Veiled. In this form the weapon is a spear with the silvered property. When you land an attack with this weapon you can use a reaction to reload the flintlock.

Unveiled. In this form the weapon is a flintlock. You can perform melee attacks with this weapon. You use your Strength modifier for attack and damage rolls and on a hit you deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

A towering terror of the moonlit streets. This beast is
the apex of Howling Scourge–the point where the
affliction of beasthood has utterly consumed the soul
and body. Greatly enlarged and driven by a endless
hunger, possessing fangs, claws capable of tearing
through steel with ease and rending any obstacle in its
path.
Scourged Alpha
These great beasts are rarely found alone, acting as
leaders and pack alphas to Scourged of all kinds. Their
presence alone turns a common infestation into a
