An Update Regarding Six One Indie

As of August 21, I will be stepping away from the company into a new opportunity, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of an exciting new one for Six One.

Six One Indie began as a lockdown project built around a simple goal: to support, celebrate, and signal-boost independent games. What started as a creative outlet grew into showcases, events, and awards that brought together developers, publishers, players, and others from across the indie community. It became far more than we could have imagined, and we are incredibly proud of everything Six One has grown to become.

With each of the three original co-founders moving into new full-time ventures, the time feels right to entrust Six One Indie’s next chapter to our longtime partners at Vicariously. Vicariously has been an important part of Six One’s journey for several years, helping our productions reach new creative heights and connect with larger audiences. While you will see some new faces and hear some new voices in the months and years ahead, Six One Indie’s purpose remains the same. The team will continue celebrating independent games, supporting the people behind them, and building upon everything we have created together.

I would also love to take this opportunity to thank every contributing member and production contractor of Six One Indie throughout the years. Mike, Kelsey, Harry, Jake, Matt, Lily, Justin, Clancey, Austin, and Becca have done so much to elevate what we’ve done behind the scenes, and we would not be who we are without them.

Words cannot comprehend how proud we are of the work we’ve achieved, how grateful we are to all of our development and publishing alumni, and of course, to the community who have been by our sides through this wild journey. We couldn’t be more excited to see what the future has in store for Six One Indie as community members ourselves.
