I can't wait! Thank you so much! I went scrambling last week... lots of small boulders for a small bear like me! Just some practice. 😃❤️🧸 #MountaineeringBears

We are on the other side of Philly from you, if I remember correctly, and we're at 104! Yesterday we could smell the burning from the train derailment. Crazy days!! Macaroni salad sounds like a perfect hot day dinner. ❤️🧸

She said I was too big for her purse. She took one of our other furrends, a little shy fox named Foxie Brown. 😃 They had fun, and it was good for both of them to get out of the house. I'll stick to the mountaineering trips with #MountaineeringBears 🤣🤣❤️🧸

Well, this has been the past few years, so...🤣

Screenshot of Merriam-Webster gif that quickly scrolls through words, directing users to screenshot it and that word that is captured is their word for the year. Mine landed on somnolent, which apparently means drowsy or sleepy.

Speaking of cats, I got this today! 😁😺

Cover of the book Starter Villain by John Scalzi. It has the title and his name on the bottom, and a picture of a fuzzy, grumpy looking cat in a suit and tie from the waist up. Very cute and handsome. Sticker says "Our monthly pick B&N".

That's a nice blanket! You can see here that the pants are waaay too big for me. She eats too many cookies! 🤣

Alfie, our beloved out-of-season butterfly, passed away moments ago. We sat outside so she could pass with nature. We learned a lot about black swallowtail butterflies and look forward to seeing her siblings this Spring. We are happy she was in our lives.❤💔🦋

Here she is in her new habitat. I can take her outside when it's warm, like today (63°F). We sat outside for a little this afternoon.

Day 5, we renamed her Alfie, and she seems to be eating. She likes the Gatorade more than the fruit. We got a 36" high net habitat for her so we can take her outside when it's warm. It should be over 50 degrees the next three days...but just for a bit! Then, back to her bathroom. 🦋❤🤷🏻‍♀️

Butterfly update Day 4: We found her on the floor yesterday so we moved her to a half bath with a window. She's flying now. Does anyone know how far north on the East Coast of the US they can live this time of year? We'll relocate her if we can.🦋 #butterfly #gardening #insectidentification

Butterfly Update, Day 3: She is still with us, and has watermelon and cantaloupe on her windowsill buffet (looks like salmon and tuna sushi!🤣). She's flying a little bit, but isn't leaving the window. I think she's looking wistfully outside, but it's too cold for her. We all love her.

Butterfly update: we have named her "Starbuck" (BSG, not the coffee🤣). She's resting nicely, and I hope she survives the night. ❤ Good night, Guten Nacht, buenas noches, god natt friends!🦋😁🧸😴🌜

She likes the orange!! 😍 I put it on the windowsill since she won't leave the window. I imagine after the sun sets she may fly somewhere else, but she's really not flying yet.
