Between August 2025 and August 2026, total nonfarm employment rose in 10 of Oregon’s counties and decreased in 26. Wheeler County had Oregon’s highest year-over-year job growth at 7.9%. Wallowa County had the largest job loss over the year, falling by 7.5%. (2/2)

Wow, Broken Pencil, Canzine, and the Zine Awards are in the processing of closing, according to Olea Kim, the magazine's co-editor. This is a huge blow to independent arts and culture in Canada, and zine culture everywhere. I used to write and copy edit BP under its previous editor. I'll miss it.
