Just picked a fight with a right-wing troll on Twitter. Started with him calling Italian-Americans comically racist and outdated slurs for no particular reason and getting flamed for it. Ended with him listening to all of my released music and positively comparing me to Fear. I love the internet.

Just finished writing a song for a class that I originally thought was shit. Now that it’s got lyrics, it kinda goes hard though… is it too early to already be thinking about album #2???

Sometimes I think about how David Bowie toured Outside w/ Nine Inch Nails and how I wasn’t alive for it and then the depression kicks in

What would be the most interesting behind-the-scenes content that I could be sharing here? Session videos/photos? Track ordering? Mixing? Production diary? Random musings about the process of being an artist no one has ever heard trying to make an album with a budget of $73 and some chutzpah?

Great pick. I’m caught between Moonrise Kingdom and Asteroid City myself, though both are definitely in my all time top 10.

Gonna cover the jazz standard “A Taste Of Honey” someday. Will probably be a post-rock style thing, maybe with some phasing arpeggios to show off and be pretentious.

To all the new followers: Hi! I’m Marco and this is my art rock/alt rock project, Supermarket Parking Lot. I’ve spent the last two years playing around the Boston area with a live band, but now I’m taking the time to record my debut album. Will share production updates here, so stick around :D

We’re a sick art rock band from Boston, currently recording our debut album! We’re pretty involved locally too, would love to put a pack together if we can find anyone who’s already migrated over.

Production Update: tracking is complete for slightly revamped “Normal Person” and a secret new interlude track, all vocals and piano done for all tracks, and halfway there for neo-Desperation. Continued work on instrumentals for Honesty and A Favor on the near horizon. Work is slow, but good.
