Yesterday, I printed a couple sheets of stickers to fulfill out-of-stocks for a very large website order (thank you!) Today, I was supposed to laminate and cut. First sheet, laminate crinkles and kills the sheet. Second sheet, the cut snags and kills the sheet. wtf universe get it together

Leatherworking humans how does one remove the obnoxious branding on a pair of boots like this? I imagine it's a stud-type thing with a couple of bent prongs? Willing to replace the emblem somehow, just really don't want this one. Not my picture, I don't have these in hand to investigate

An interesting thing that happens printing on thin cloth: ink presses through the fabric and deposits onto the platen, semi-curing due to the heat The result is a layer of standing ink that, while eventually distorting prints if not handled, is lovely in its own way.

Almost 2130 just now got the shop under 80° reclaiming almost 40 screens tonight (some not pictured) Reclaiming removes all ink and stencil from the mesh, getting it ready to be recoated and burned with new art The water spray would be surprisingly pleasant if it were not laden with chemicals

Donating some printed pieces to be used as quilt panels for the local quilting club - they make beautiful sampler quilts featuring the same code used to navigate the Underground Railroad. This is the 4th or 5th round of them we've printed, and their work can be found all over the country!

Ozella's Underground railroad primary quilt: the monkey wrench turns the wagon wheel towards Canada on a bear's paw trail to the crossroads. Once they got to the crossroads they dug a log cabin in the ground. Shoo fly told them to dress up in cotton and sat in bow ties and go to the cathedral church, get married and exchange double wedding rings. Flying geese stay on the drunkard's path and follow the sailboat to the Stars.

A little light and water later, and four screens are just about ready to rock. That third screen in the row, the blobby looking one? That's called an underbase - and it'll be a hidden layer of white ink under everything that helps the actual colors become visible/ POP on dark colored garments.
