Trump is trying to legitimize his unlawful, anti-Black smear campaign against Governor Lisa Cook. But we see this is for what it is. Trump must take his grubby little hands off the Federal Reserve and stop this brazen power grab.

This is horrifying and barbaric. We should not be executing ANYONE in America. Not by firing squad. And certainly not publicly. We need to abolish the federal death penalty and impeach this incompetent, insecure, and violent Defense Secretary.

Having alopecia, I know the impact of severe hair loss. For some, wigs bring physical & emotional support. Proud to lead the Wigs for Warriors Act with @repvindman.bsky.social to ensure coverage for wigs for servicemembers & their families enduring alopecia, chemo & other hair loss conditions.
A graphic that reads:

Introducing the Wigs for Warriors Act

By Rep. Ayanna Pressley & Rep. Eugene Vindman A graphic that reads:

The problem:

TRICARE, the health care program for servicemembers and military families, has extremely limited coverage for individuals experiencing severe hair loss and no coverage for those with alopecia areata.

That includes coverage for a cranial prosthesis — a medical-grade, custom-fitted wig designed to address medically related hair loss.A graphic that reads:

The solution:

Our Wigs for Warriors Act would require TRICARE to cover cranial prostheses – or wigs – for individuals with alopecia areata and other non-cancer conditions that cause permanent or medically documented hair loss, as certified by a physician.

Coverage would also extend to hair loss resulting from chemotherapy, regardless of the underlying condition being treated.

Black folks are being pushed out of the workforce & unemployment rates are at their highest since the pandemic. That's why we need a Federal Job Guarantee now more than ever. My bill will help America reach full employment & help achieve long-term economic security for all.
A graphic that reads:

How it started:

A Federal Job Guarantee has deep roots in American history and the civil rights movement.

It was a key component of FDR’s Economic Bill of Rights, and Black leaders and economists like Coretta Scott King and Sadie Alexander all advocated for guaranteed jobs.A graphic that reads:

How it’s going:

It’s been 63 years since the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, and it’s time we actualize their radical dream and legislative blueprint.

Today, we’re building on their legacy and introducing legislation to help reach full employment and achieve long-term economic security for all.A graphic that reads:

How it works:

A Federal Job Guarantee would create an enforceable legal right to a quality job on projects that meet long-neglected needs, including:

—care for children and seniors
—sustainable transit systems
—protecting the environment

It provides all adults seeking employment public jobs with wages no less than $25 an hour and strong union protections.A graphic that reads:

Our resolution:

—Creates a pathway to stable employment
—Helps close racial and gender income gaps
—Sets a new standard for quality jobs with dignified wages, safe working conditions, healthcare, and more
—Makes the economy more resilient and more inclusive
