I visited the John Radcliffe Hospital. They have been doing their best since the recommendations of the Baroness Amos review in June 2026. However, it is clear that there is only so much they can do without a new Maternity Unit. I am taking this to Parliament, watch this space.

Growing 'dental deserts' are a very urgent problem. Teeth are crumbling, children are in A&E and people are in terrible pain. We're not short of dentists in this country, but we need root and branch reform of the dental contract and proper incentives for dentists to take on NHS work.

I wrote to the Govt urging more support for colleges and further education, and I'm very glad they have chosen Abingdon and Witney College to receive capital funding from the £191 million Post-16 Capacity Fund. More students should now benefit from their fantastic courses and apprenticeships.

Trust in the security of your medical data should be sacrosanct. Pager use was meant to stop in 2021, but the latest data breach shows that the basic nuts and bolts of technology in the NHS are still being forgotten. I have written to NHSE for an audit of who is using this outdated, insecure tech.

One of the recommendations of the food environment report is Healthy Start Card's which support families on lower incomes to make healthier choices. We are calling on the Government to ensure that these can be used universally across supermarkets and that the amounts rise with food inflation.
