Aww, thank you Rui! Love how much personality you captured between my two blokes, tysm again <3

Hahaha, I somehow managed to restrain myself ;p Oh, by the way! I finally got around to giving a proper try of reading Moby Dick last week. I'm surprised (though I shouldn't be) by how engaging Melville's writing is - I reached ch54 last night! I understand why you've always spoken so highly of it

At dinner and as the table in front of us gets up to leave, I notice one person holding a reusable cloth bag with the phrase, "Plastic bags are for losers" in all-caps Didn't think much of it until the same person slings an oversized, brightly-blue, clearly-plastic bag onto the same arm

Hahaha, thanks Rioanne! Glad you approve ;p

Aw thank you so much Morgan, means a lot <3 I shall endeavor to make it worth the wait!

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 19/09/2026

Thanks Silv! Riannoc's armor has always daunted me somewhat, I finally had an excuse to give a proper look of it for these panels - it ended up being very fun to draw :D (though I'm still simplifying it here) - it's also so gratifying hearing you mention that about the phalanges, as I've been--

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 19/09/2026

THANKS STU I'm so happy you think so :D I'm having a little too much fun drawing this page ;p

010

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 19/09/2026

At least 1 more, toward the end of this fall :D

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 19/09/2026

From 1 of the 2 gw2 doujin comics I'm drawing. I'll leave which one a mystery... for now! This panel was drafted months ago, and I didn't realize until lining+coloring this week how the Leon sketch resembles Riannoc's pose here - ha, make of that what you will

I have a few of Duskbirds Vol. 2 left, and if I reprint Vol. 1 in the future, they'll be added to this new "Printed Comics" gallery that's now up (Duskbirds zines are toward the bottom) The page has info about what's in each book, how they were printed, dimensions, etc.! landylachs.com/books.html

Learned Duskbirds Comics Vol. 1 sold out at the "Paper Pushers" zine pop-up in Seattle - thank you to all who visited! Those were my last copies, I don't know when/if I'll reprint it - I hope you enjoy reading if you have one! Thanks so much again and I hope you enjoyed the event!

Even from just RE3r, I can see why! My partner has mentioning they're curious what I will think of of RE4r (they played the original RE4 years back) - it will probably take us until October/November because of some things coming up, but I'll be excitedly anticipating when we can play until then! :D

000

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 14/09/2026

I know who she is now! ;D It's a bit of a surreal experience going from enjoying your art before vs after knowing who some of the characters are - it's like a whole new layer has been unveiled! :D

110

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

You've helped convince me to play the originals sooner (1-3 are currently all under $5 each!) - I have bookmarked your animation and will return to it to experience the voice acting in the original games first :D Ty again, it's really fun learning more from someone familiar with the series!

010

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

That's fascinating dev lore, thanks for sharing! Very amusing about the comments about the voice acting, haha - I'll play keeping the lens of when it was released in mind! I'm also glad to learn a bit more about Ada, I was hoping we'd learn more about her in 2! I hope we might see Carlos again too

100

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

Thanks for your recs & info! I was curious about the originals and torn about whether to start with them or the remakes - it looks like the originals are also still available! That's so cool. I'll see if we can play them sometime in the future too! I'm also so curious to compare the voice acting

110

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

Thank you! I originally wanted to start with 1 after re9, but everyone seemed to advise against starting with 1. I'm very curious about it though, especially as I heard Jill is one of the main characters? Do you generally prefer the originals over the remakes, or does it depend on the game for you?

110

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

He also excels at meeting unfortunate ends via chainsaw (or at least, this was my experience when first learning how to aim using joystick controls :p )

010

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

My emotions were conflicted between, "Oh no, I died!" and, "Hmmm, part of me wants to see that animation again...." :p

030

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 10/09/2026

Wow, that's more extensive than I knew! Any in particular you recommend before others? After Requiem, we've played through RE2r twice, and I think we're on the tail end of RE3r - RE4r is next on our list (the final game in the bundle deal we grabbed during the summer sale!)

Drawn back in July after finishing RE9, which we were inspired to play bc of @/Skelesass.bsky.social's fantastic art :D Go check them out! BG info + line & color versions w/ stronger blood effects: landylachs.com/sketchblog/2... Bit torn on which work better. You tell me!

Sketch: Leon Kennedy | September 8, 2026

“Mr. Leon Kennedy.” I drew this in July, shortly after my partner & I finished our first playthrough of “Resident Evil: Requiem.” Not only was this the first RE game I played, it’s both the first…

010

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 09/09/2026

Mr. Leon Kennedy Played an RE game for the first time knowing very little about this franchise - this moment was very memorable because I hadn't been expecting it at all, haha #re9 #ResidentEvil #LeonKennedy #art #sketch

Drawing of Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil: Requiem being attacked by the "Tyrant." The Tyrant is mostly off-camera; we see only a glimpse of his arm and hand, which grasp Leon.

"I'll see you tomorrow." (Just a sketch-idea I wanted to try)

Two duskbirds stand on a hilltop at night, watching the moon. Text reads:

Duskbird A:
Do you think we'll be here tomororw?

Duskbird B:
... I think so.

Duskbird A:
... Phew!

Nooo I didn't realize it was ending today either! :'( I wish it was a longer festival

010

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 01/09/2026

It's coming along so well, looking forward to seeing how it looks next! The earlier version with more pale colors almost reminds me of a confectionary, like one you might see topping a very fancy cake :D

Current info page for the mini-comic! landylachs.com/nightmare It has brief character bios with (wip) profile artwork, and an art gallery at the bottom (similar to "The Harbinger's Path" page) Soft-launched it last month, feel like sharing it now after doing some site updates yesterday :D

What do you mean I just walk to the post, hand these off, and it arrives at your doorstep some days later? Magic, I tell you!

030

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 26/08/2026

Ahh I just saw the first international package has been delivered! I hope they all arrive safely! :D I'm sure this is because it's still novel to me (I was digital-only for so long!), but there's something so magical about shipping, which I appreciate more now after being a sender vs recipient

150

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 26/08/2026

Thanks Qare! I've been really happy I've had an excuse to finally paint this artwork more :D I'm looking forward to when you can read it - it's been really satisfying seeing the pages come together in the offline version of the site! I hope it'll be a fun read! You'd have to ask the Pale Tree ;p

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 26/08/2026

(The event asked for a "logo" but said it shouldn't be low res for socials - this is the image I decided to go with. If you're wondering why I appended it to the post :p )

I will be at "Super Yaoi Mart" this Nov 21 in LA! More info closer to the date. "Nightmare's Embrace," my gw2 sylvari oc doujin, will debut in print during this event (with digital sometime afterward) - it seemed apropos, haha

Cropped work-in-progress painting of a sylvari necromancer with a torn forearm sleeve. Sap with a pale yellow-green glow surrounds him, presumably from his torn sleeve.

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 23/08/2026

There is a charm to this I'm also fond of :D Certainly (especially with my comics) my characters are not always 100% on-model - sometimes it adds a little flavor or expressiveness that can add to a work!

020

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 23/08/2026

This is my own personal hang-up but using my own drawings as ref feels so silly to me (had to pull up the Lorcan outfit artwork again) I get it's normal, but because I haven't really had to do that for my own characters before, it has this vaguely absurd quality to me Doing fanart of my fanart hah

Landylachs🌙 @landylachs.com · 23/08/2026

That just made the "torment them!" male sylvari line shout in my mind, haha

Overlooked I had this earlier wip gif that probably reads more clearly! A loose color mask version is also here: landylachs.com/sketchblog/2... It shows the bg colors without the canvas layer overlay
