Our cat has started collecting data to replicate the Abraham Wald discovery of survivorship bias. With this study design, she might actually get IRB approval for that.

"while you may be able to buy power, it’s impossible to buy a good personality" 💯 www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2…
Screenshot of a Guardian opinion piece by Rebecca Shaw with the title "I knew one day I’d have to watch powerful men burn the world down – I just didn’t expect them to be such losers". Below the text, there is a photo of Mark Zuckerberg wearing silly glasses.

Fun little quiz for us "academic types". And the outcome is quite fitting in my case 😁 m.info.wiley.com/webApp/researcherq…

(German) Academia edition of this modern classic (link to original post: indiepocalypse.social/@AuthorJMac/1…)
Picture of an edited version of a post by Joanna Maciejewska applying the content to the context of German academia. The edited text reads: You know what the biggest problem with pushing all-things-AI is? Wrong direction. I want AI to do my Reisekostenformular so that I can do my data analysis and writing, nit for AI to do my data analysis and writing so that I can do my Reisekostenformular. In the original, instead of 1 - Reisekostenformular and 2- data analysis, the text was 1- laundry and dishes and 2 - art.
