FAA support says it’s an AWS issue; appears congruent with this graph from Downdetector. Reporting on other large systems that were knocked out indicates it’s a cooling issue that has since been resolved, but will take a few hours to fully recover.

It looks like the last regular revenue flight for Hekla Aurora is probably going to be Friday, October 10 to PDX. A special farewell sightseeing flight is scheduled for Sunday, October 12 in Iceland.

Lufthansa's MUC-DEN, DLH480, diverted into MSP today on account of a medical emergency; this is the fifth visit of a super to Minnesota, the first since 2017. Hoping for a good prognosis for the passenger involved.

Smart flight alerts from JetTip at MSP clued in quite a few spotters to the arrival of this beautiful A400M from the Royal Air Force on July 11, 2025. Unsure of the runway assignment until the last minute, we arrived in position at the Aircraft Viewing Area with just a few moments to spare.

Smart flight alerts at MSP this morning for the arrival of the Gulfstream G800 testbed, which diverted in on account of poor weather at CID. Was hoping the aircraft was still wearing its large probe up front, but it appears the configuration of test equipment has shifted around a bit.

With a 727 documented at DAL, and after a brief, unplanned side trip to AFW for a 767, we’ve made it back to DFW, where we need to catch a 777 and 787 to complete the #BoeingYahtzee.

We’ve been very lucky with nice weather; it’s a beautiful morning here in Dallas. Light should be right down the nose for the 727 departure, which is not ideal for photography, but it allows us to be lazy and camp on the parking ramp between both runways.

The Arizona Cardinals operated their first trip with N865DA today, one of six former Delta 777-200ERs now in service for the Arizona Cardinals / Gridiron Air - sure looks like a new NFL-centric charter airline is in the works! It was nice to see this old Delta bird back at MSP.
