Easy things you can do to make your property more accessible:
Stepless entry—if you have steps, you can purchase a ramp (that can be folded up and put away when not in use).
Heavy-duty grab bars
Lever handles
Roll-in shower
Expandable door hinges
Everyday items—like in kitchens and bathrooms—should be at an accessible height for wheelchair users.
Keyless locks at an accessible height for wheelchair users
Keep entryways and hallways clear
Remove rugs before guests with accessibility needs arrive.

Guests Should Never Find: Stained & Damaged Furniture -> If its stained, clean it. It its damaged, fix. Wont come clean? Cant fix it? Replace it! Guests should never find stained and damaged furniture.
Tips:
♡ Utilize (slip) covers.
♡ Wood filler (and stain or paint) for chips/gashes.
♡ Steam clean furniture at least 1 x per quarter.
♡ Find & utilize a local upholstery tailor for (expensive) fabric furniture that is damaged.
♡ Consignment and thrift stores are an amazing source for affordable furniture that is in great to excellent used shape or perfect for rehab.
