Something deep inside me told me I should draw Donkey Kong today.

A four panel comic titled "Hours, Bananas, Doors."
Donkey Kong awakens staring at himself in a mirror, then stares down at his hand as he notices a strange watch on his wrist.
Staring at his wrist, the watch turns out to be one of the numbered bracelets from 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors from the Zero Escape series. It's Junpei's bracelet. For some reason.
Peach then asks a confused Donkey Kong, "Donkey Kong? Have you ever heard of the Parallel Banana Theory?"

I still havent played any Xeno games before blade 😔

I’ve spent most the game sending T-elos on Merc Missions despite how much she hates it so I drew her working a similar hell.

I‘m not really seeing the big deal with crossette, I mean I see the potential but I’ve been using her as Nia’s main blade all game andohhh. okay. I understand.

Like Rex gets shit for not being very convincing when fighting for most of the game, but Nia also has some real misses like this:

I adore Xenoblade Chronicles 2 with all my heart and I really love the cast but it makes me so upset that the most important characters in the game sometimes respond to tragic reveals like they were reminded of something while having lunch

unbeatable was a game I was following for a while due to the stylish characters and the satisfying gameplay and good fucking music, but the game ended up resonating with me extremely hard. It was already a game that appealed to me on almost every level on the surface level but had a beautiful story-

watching like HFTF, 3rd Strike and XRD, but I barely actually played them- Still something I want to get into, maybe.

influenced me. DBFZ is sort of catch all for many fighting games. It, alongside SSBU was THE game I played with friends between lunch breaks in school, and I couldn’t get over how cool it looked. I ended up reading all of DB and other series because of it. There were other fighting games I loved-

P5 was everywhere and it was hard to not fall in love with the premise and the romance of being a vilgilante working out of a café’s attic. I actually played P4G on the vita first so I considered that instead, but P5 was still the catalyst for playing that game and future megaten title. It really -

The Ace Attorney Trilogy was a game I literally only picked up because I listened to a compilation of Objection themes online, and I didn’t know how much it would rewire my brain. I’ve played plenty of VNs/ADV games and most of them are purely trying to chase the same high that this game instilled.

it, and my love of Xenoblade would’t have happened without this. I also love the strong visual identity it had. Xenoblade 2 was my first JRPG I played and it was my first experience with a story of its calibre. I love the gameplay and exploration, and I think it was the first game to make me cry.

Smash 3DS wasn’t the first game In the series I played, but it was the first game there I owned. Without it I doubt that I would have made the friends I did in high school, even when we moved on to playing SSBU instead- Which while following that game was also special-

really strong to me. LittleBigPlanet Vita was the first game I had on my first console and I was enamoured. Having a PS3 growing up I also ended up playing the entire series, until it ended.

Sonic Generations was one of the first games I ever saw on a whim when I was looking up toys (I was 5) and it ended up being one of my favourite games in general. Machinarium was one of the games I remember my dad playing with me and my brother when we were young, the vibe and artwork was-

I decided to do the “9 games that made me” thing! I’m not entirely sure if this is 100% accurate, and there’s only like 4 or 5 I would actually consider my favourite games but blehh

Chart with
- Sonic Generations (2011)
- Machinarium
- LittleBigPlanet PsVita
- Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
- Persona 5
- Dragon Ball Fighterz
- UNBEATABLE

Up to the end of ch3 in my Xenoblade 2 replay and I just came to the realisation that spiritually, this is a Sonic Storybook game.

I was worried that if I started my Xenoblade 2 replay I’d go: ”nooo I’ll be burnt out of Xenoblade :(“ “Noo I’ll be craving XC3 :(“ Bitch you took like 10 videos of the end of chapter 1 alone. we’re so back I’m so locked in.

After the very first announcement of New World of Steam I got so pumped bc I had otherwise only heard of it via Ace Attorney and only a bit afterwards, I played both Trilogies and loved them. Only to be hit square in the face with Level 5’s current form.

the way professor layton's being treated by level5 genuinely makes me so depressed. i would not be the artist i am today if it wasnt for the original games; seeing fully voiced and animated cutscenes for the first time in a handheld game was so unbelievably inspiring for me
