Heard about Ebola lately? 🧵 In 2024, EU health ODA to the DRC fell by almost 5 percentage points vs. 2023 – a retreat in financing that left an already fragile health system less equipped to detect this year's Ebola outbreak, and which has already claimed almost 3,300 lives.

3/ Solutions exist. Nutrition interventions can achieve ~90% recovery for children with acute malnutrition at only €45 per child. Investing in nutrition saves lives, strengthens community and supports recovery in fragile contexts. The EU must keep nutrition central to humanitarian action.
