We all need doctors, nurses and healthcare workers. But the healthcare sector faces serious staff shortages. By 2030 there's an expected shortage of one million workers, including nurses and doctors. Parliament adopted proposals to strengthen healthcare systems and improve working conditions.

129kg. That's the EU average of food waste per person in 2024.   The better news?   In 2025, the EU adopted binding targets to reduce food waste by 2030. Parliament also pushed to make it easier to donate unsold food to those in need. Find out more: link.europa.eu/7FN3Y

Girls just wanna have fun…..ding. More funding in gender-sensitive healthcare, that is. And now Members of European Parliament are calling for better data, more inclusive research and stronger considerations of the health needs of women across each stage of their lives.

MEPs have voted on the recent mass illegal crossings into Ceuta, Spain, calling for more EU support to bolster security and full enforcement of the Pact on Migration and Asylum. They warned that protecting the EU’s external borders is a responsibility for all EU countries.

It's International Literacy Day! In 2025, 75% of young Europeans had at least basic digital skills. Digital literacy helps us: 📱participate in modern life 💻use online public services 🚫protect democratic society through critical thinking skills and spotting disinformation.
