With the low sun angle late afternoon in mid October, one can see the shadow of the growing storm in western Louisville this hour. See the black spot east northeast of that cloud over northeast Louisville. Lightning should come soon. #lmkwx #kywx #inwx

Rain showers should gradually clear from south to north today in Eastern Kentucky, but the bigger story is tomorrow's strong cold front. The breezy winds associated with that front should move a much colder/drier airmass into the region, leading to potential frost on Saturday night. #ekywx #kywx

A main line of potential storms may form later this afternoon across S. IN. This is highly conditional on the amount of sunshine along & north of the Ohio River this afternoon. Should skies become clearer earlier, then some strong to severe gusty winds are possible in this area. #inwx

Showers and thunderstorms will continue into the overnight across Eastern Kentucky before slowly diminishing in coverage. A localized flash flooding risk still exists where showers and thunderstorms move across the same area. The severe thunderstorm threat has ended. #ekywx #kywx
