Finger operation went well... ring-finger isn't weird anymore. :wlf: Still need to stuff it and sew it closed to finish it. #fursuitmaking

Me holding out my right hand while wearing my almost finished fursuit paw. The topside and the fingers are visible.

Lack of vacation really slows me down... :floofWoozy: Well... Upperside is now ready, too. :floof: Todo: * Sew both sides together * Turn it right side out * Optionally realize what I've fucked up * Stuff it * Close it up #fursuitmaking

Upper half of my fursuit paw. It has light-gray fingers with dark-blue claws. The hand and arm are dark-gray. The fur of the arm is longer than the hand fur.

First two fingers are shaved down... Starts to look less like a Wookie now :wlfBlep: "What have you done this weekend?" "You know... Normal stuff... Like shaving my wolf..." :wlfWhat: #fursuitmaking

Work in progress of my fursuit paw. Two fingers have short fur while the other three have long fur.

Test-Patches of fur shaved to different length. I think I'll go with the shortest length (right) for the fingers, longest shave (2nd from left) for the hand and full length (left) for the arm. :wlf:

For small pathes of gray faux fur. From left to right the lenght of the fur decreases.

Beans... Paw beans... :wlfHyper: FYI: I sew the cut in the fabric close by hand afterwards, so the filling won't get lost.

Photo of the backside of some faux fur-fabric of a finger. The outline of a toe bean is visible through a dark-red thread that was used to sew something to the other side of the fabric. A cut through the faux-fur fabric is visible in the middle of the outline.

Same faux-fur finger. This time my thumb is visible, too, holding some filling material above the cut. The end of a large metallic crotchet-needle is visible, too. The needle is used to poke the filling material through the hole.

Backside of the fabric after stuffing it with filling material. The fabric inside the sewn outline is bulging outwards. The cut is now wide open and filling material is visible.

Front side of the finger, showing the faux-fur and a bulging toe bean. The toe-bean uses dark-red minky fabric.

It was at this point that Cody realized buying a sewing-machine is a good idea... :neocat_googly_woozy:

Close-up of an unfinished fursuit paw. A dark red minky patch in the shape of a paw pad is laying and pinned down onto a slap of faux fur. A gray threat is visible from sewing it on.

POV: You failed to find textile markers in local stores but remembered that box of street chalk in the basement... :wlfWoozy:

A piece of fabric folded over and clamped together. The outlines of a paw is drawn on the top. The lines are really thick chalk lines. A large stick of white street chalk is laying on the table, too.

After almost two weeks and a weird ride through Western Europe my fursuit head finally arrived. :wlfHyper: Just not in the mood rn to try it on, so just a photo of it after unpacking.

Fursuit head sitting on the cardboard box it was delivered in. It's a kemono style wolf witch large anime style eyes and a short and cute snout. It's face is pure white. The nose, lips and the surroundings of the eyes are black. A black vertical scar is visible under its left eye. The eyes themselves have red anime style eyes with slight white reflections at the bottom and white four-star sparkles at the top.
The fur color of the head is a medium gray with a few red strands here and there.
Two large ears are at the top with really short fur. They have the same gray color as the main fur. The inside is red. Theres additional longer and fluffy fur in the ears.
There are two red stripes on the outside of each ear above the top of the head where they are closest to each other.
Between the ears, there's a streak of fur sticking up and to the side, like a tiny ahoge.
The fur of the neck is a dark gray, almost black. There's a tiny white spot in the middle of it.

Damnit... looking at them now, they're all a bit out-of-focus. :neocat_googly_woozy: Welp... for a sun-filter I've build from scraps in a hurry after realizing my old sun-filter was damaged, it's still better than expected. #eclipse2026 #eclipse #sonnenfinsternis

Photo of the sun just before the eclipse started. About 7 tiny sunspots are visible, some of those are just visible. It has the appearance of a white ball: A white circle that gets a bit dimmer towards the edge. The surrounding is totally black.

Photo of the sun during the eclipse, about half-way towards maximum coverage.
The lower-right part of the sun is hidden by the moon. The moon is just visible as a black disk where it covers the sun. Everything besides the sun itself is totally black in the image.

Photo of the sun during the eclipse, approximately at maximum coverage.
The visible sun is shaped like a sickle with the opening orientated towards the bottom of the photo.
The brightness of the sickle is not uniform, due to a completely out-of-focus tree that got in my line-of-sight.

Photo of the sun during the eclipse, shortly after maximum coverage.
The visible sun is shaped like a sickle with the opening orientated towards the bottom-left of the photo.
The brightness of the sickle is uniform again after finding a new spot to take photos.

Clothing and style preview for a set of goth-like clothes for the male mannequin in Genshin Impact's Miliastra Wonderland gacha. The character is wearing a black beanie with some metallic rings and stuff. Gray, medium long hair with long strands going from the back to the front. His eyes are purple and he has multiple black ear piercings. Around his neck is a collar with metallic ring and a necklace with a gem below it.
He's wearing a black shirt with a light purple/grayish shirt with a tribal-like design on top. On top of that is a black coat with purple details. The coat has short sleeves. At the front it goes down to the waistline but at the back it goes down to the knees, separated in the middle. Below the short sleeves are separated sleeves, covering the lower arms and the elbows, hold in place by belts connected to the coat.
The trousers are black/dark gray. There are belts around each thigh with what looks like pockets hold by the belt. He's wearing black leather boots with a slight plateau. There are three metallic spikes at the front/sides of each boot.

My balcony was lava... :blobcat_thisisfine: Maybe I'll try to fry an egg on my balcony tomorrow... :neocat_floof_cute: (That was actually at that ~hour, when the thermometer is in direct sunlight... the ~46°C before that was still 10°C over the general air temperature)

Photo shows the display of a five channel thermometer. Temperature readings for each channel are: 26.8°C, 25.3°C, 25.6°C, 32.5°C and 55.6°C.
Date and time read: 2025-7-1 19:06:37
In the top left of the display a diagram showing the last 24 hours for each channel. Channel 1-3 were constant at ~25°C. Channel 3 climbed from ~27°C at -12h to ~32°C at -8h and stayed there. Channel 5 climbed from ~17°C at -12h to ~46°C at -1h and suddenly peaked to ~56°C at -0.5h.
Besides the temperatures there's also the relative humidity for each channel visible: 51%, 53%, 55%, 43% and 15%.
