Certainly interesting to see the internals of my router

˗ˏˋBlueFoxˎˊ˗ @bluef0x.com · 05/10/2026

This thought came back after seeing a reel about Older cameras literally having a "night vision" toggle.. so does the frame

˗ˏˋBlueFoxˎˊ˗ @bluef0x.com · 05/10/2026

Y'know how the steam frame has infrared light to see in the dark? Wouldn't that also mean it can see through certain clothes? Cuz when i tested it in pass through, it certainly was able to look through my routers outer shell and other objects.. tho clothes I haven't tested yet.

Keep in mind tho wattage doesn't matter here, the steam frame can only use 45w and won't benefit from a powerbank that has 200w.. you're just throwing money out

020

˗ˏˋBlueFoxˎˊ˗ @bluef0x.com · 05/10/2026

If you do get a powerbank, please for the love of god, don't cheap out on some random wannabe 20000mah for 20 bucks. I recommend the UGREEN Nexode 145W 54.99€~ 25.000mah (or the 20kmah version) Or the Anker Prime 27,650mAh if you're feeling fancy.. tho it's 139€~

So little update, i kinda forgot that i had the headset on "playtime" mode, meaning it had a max refresh rate of 72hz and other stuff. After going back to 144hz it did lower the playtime roughly by an hour~ So now it's roughly+5h with the powerbank Totalling to 6h-ish~

Soo Steam Frame review.. I love the headset! Here are some pros and cons Pros: Comfy af, tho my ears are kinda grinding against the strap.. Eye tracking is really good in VRVChat and it's only getting better. Wireless! Really really awesome and easy to set up! Like the cla-

At first i had it on a bit loose, but over time i made it tighter, mainly since the eye tracking became more stable and cleaner when the headset was on tighter

To also shutdown steamvr on my PC? Tho i might be doing something wrong on my end.. Other than that, really great headset and worth buying it!

Is really nice, it has it's few quirk's here and there. And that's totally fine! Give the system a few updates and it will be golden! The only other complain i have is.. how it connects to the PC? It's weird imo, like when i stop streaming/shut off the headset, I'm expecting it

˗ˏˋBlueFoxˎˊ˗ @bluef0x.com · 03/10/2026

ting on the Enthusiast kit to release so that is fixed. The mic itself is really good! Tho mine sounds weird from time to time? Like the quality drops. Others friends with a frame have had no issues. So it might be a software issue The system itself.. while SteamOS

Battery life is.. really not good, even when playing wireless. Tho i had a 20k mAh power bank, and itself gave it an extra 6h of play time! So basically 7h~ more than enough. The speakers.. are alright but sadly there's like barley any bass? Tho that was to be expected. Just wai

˗ˏˋBlueFoxˎˊ˗ @bluef0x.com · 03/10/2026

Own it. You can literally do anything on it, it's a desktop PC technically as well. Screen can't really complain? Idm that it is an LCD, as long as it has 144hz and is slightly better than the index, we Gucci. Probably more stuff i forgot.. but Now to the cons:

rity is amazing, even without the dongle. I was literally able to just walk around my house and grab a piece of cake lol. Controllers are also pretty good. Tho i need to get used to them since the layout is different and the ergo kit is sadly sold out rn.. Free system, you-

A few things I'm worried about the Steam frame have occurred in my mind.. - My Vive Facial Tracker not working on it anymore. Especially in wireless. - Eye Tracking not working for other applications and being worst. - I "heard" that you actually cannot connect the headset via-
