#artsforallwisconsin Untitled Oil on canvas 29”w x 40”h #disability #landscape #blueskyartshow

Round pixels
Thousands of individual, round strokes using a short bristle brush to conjure the artists’ visual phenomena (retinal atrophy) via inherited retinal disease.

Sky and land
Night or Day?

A Pale yellow orb on the top right of the canvas hints that it could be moon/could be sun…
Light radiating from the orb reflects a bright blue sky before fading to darker tones toward the left of the canvas.

As the land meets the sky in the the middle of the canvas, the green horizon bubbles up in lighter and darker greens, undulating into ever darker shades and/or shadows to the bottom of the canvas.

Nestled at the center of the painting, A small, white cluster of light emerges before dark greens and blues blend to convey the calm forest and serene sky.

“Surface Layer” Oil on canvas 2.5’ x 3’

Abstract Oil painting on canvas, using hundreds of small, individually painted circles in hues of blue, green and white.
The top rectangle is painted in lighter shades of the same blue-green-white circles
The larger bottom rectangle is painted in darker versions of the same colors.
Dividing the two rectangles is one thin strip, painted in the same circle pattern, using bright oranges and yellow paints

Overall, this painting resembles an entire iceberg with only its top above water. The bright yellow and orange strip at the waterline represents the heated waters caused by climate change.
