I appreciate your insight. To be clear, I wasn't talking about systemic abuse in this case. That should always be named and pointed out. This is specifically about using the terms abuser/victim as blanket statements without distinguishing whether it's conflict or actual abuse.

I've seen similar too. I don't know the specifics of what you saw, but I'd like to encourage you to be mindful of using labels like 'abuser' and 'victim'. These are heavy labels to give someone. We often use them too generally or casually and I think it's part of this bigger issue.

We're moving in the right direction of having social issue awareness, which is the silver lining for me. I think very few people would say they're purposely being an evil villain. Good intents can just get very twisted. There just needs to be more talk about this and the damage this can do.

Concerning trend I see online is using social justice language as a mask when talking about issues that at their core are interpersonal conflict. There is nothing wrong with feeling anger, envy, or hurt towards someone, but we need to talk about this in private with our support circles.

If your floor becomes slippery, there is likely some amount of polish on your feet, or when you sprayed polish on yourself it sprayed the floor. Best way to avoid the slip is by putting towels in advance anywhere you plan to be in rubber. Otherwise it'll take a few rounds of mop & cleaning product
