#totp on BBC2, to this day the appeal of the The Libertines is a total mystery. The Darkness now playing and we can have a bit of fun.

Come on #bbc2, duets at BBC and second up is the video version of George Michael and Aretha Franklin. You’ve got vast archives, no need for old videos.

Watching Wogan show on #bbc4. interview with with Anthony Sher, discussing The Merchant of Venice and anti semitism. I doubt such an intelligent discussion would happen now.

#neildiamondnight on BBC4 tonight. A fabulous songwriter and one of the worst things to happen was Sweet Caroline getting adopted as football chant.

Two of the greatest football managers this country has ever produced, winners. Neither was ever knighted. Don’t get me started on the slight on Rugby League by the so called honours system. Southgate may be a nice guy but he is not a winner.

Great night at the Ice Hockey in Glasgow to see the Clan thump the Belfast Giants. Fantastic result in the football as the mighty St Mirren stuff a team from just up the road. A double Christmas treat.

Nothing says Christmas better than having to suffer the rest of the family wanting to watch the royals “Together At Christmas” on ITV. Bloody hell it’s dull.

Watching the Simple Minds documentary Everything Everything is possible, it never occurred to me previously but they did the Mandela concert whilst a certain Irish band were no where to be seen

It’s never easy following @stmirren.com but always good to have a last minute winner against the Perth saints

We put up the Christmas tree today. The only place to position the tree is where the unused cat bed is located. After 4 years as an ornament on the floor Penny has decided to take up residence and now use the bed🤔.

November 1983 #totp on BBC4. The first Smiths appearance and Simple Minds in the studio. It was probably about this time I started to get interested in music. Fair to say I still love both.

Watching Simple Minds on BBC4’s Radio 2 In Concert. Acoustic/Stripped back is okay but what makes them great is driving bass lines, keyboard flourishes and underrated guitar riffs on top of it all.

It can’t be a coincidence. During the recent US elections, on the other place, I didn’t get new random young female followers. Bot farms were probably pre-occupied with getting Trump elected. Started getting new followers, 3 so far, today. All blocked but another reason to move away from it.

Anthony Flynn @anthony-flynn.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

Does this mean I might be refused access in future to the USA as I’ve had (checks notes) Polio, BCG, Measles, Rubella, Tetanus, Rabies, Flu, Covid and Yellow Fever Vaccines.
