BREAKING: The FAIR Act just passed the New Jersey Senate Labor Committee! Thank you to the senators who stood with the New Jersey State AFL-CIO and working people to pass the first hurdle for this critical legislation. Let’s keep fighting to secure AI guardrails for NJ workers!

Thanks to New Jersey State AFL-CIO's leadership, New Jersey is the next state that can lead the fight on AI guardrails to protect workers’ jobs and rights. NJ workers need a say in how AI is used on the job. That’s why lawmakers must pass the FAIR AI Regulations Act! fairactnj.org
AI is changing the workplace. New Jersey workers deserve a say in what comes next.

Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform the way we work and generate enormous wealth. But right now, a handful of tech billionaires are driving that transformation — and pushing for less regulation, less accountability, and less power for working people. Workers shouldn’t have to take on the risks of adopting new technology while a few at the top reap the rewards.

The FAIR Act (Fair AI Regulations Act: S-4075/A-4981) gives workers a voice in how AI impacts their jobs and establishes commonsense guardrails for workers’ rights, safety, and privacy.

The AI legislation signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom today is an essential step forward to protect working people from the harms of unregulated, untested AI. Labor made it happen. When working people stand together we can take on Big Tech—and we can win. @californialabor.bsky.social bit.ly/4xZraKd

TPS holders are our friends, co-workers, union family and vital members of our communities. Ending TPS protections is a gut-punch that will upend families and hurt our economy. As @seiupres.bsky.social said, workers won't be divided by this admin's anti-worker, anti-immigrant actions.

America’s labor laws are broken, favoring rich bosses and making it harder for working people to organize unions. Workers want good union jobs, and we need elected leaders who will stand with us and fight for us so we can create an economy that works for everyone.

Troy Jackson
5th generation logger. Candidate for US senate
Born: June 26, 1968 Hometown: Allagash, Maine.
Nickname: "Johnny Cash of the Allagash."

Troy Jackson doesn't just support workers. He fights for us. For the past two decades, Troy has shown up on picket lines, supported workers organizing, passed legislation to strengthen our rights and urged employers to settle fair contracts.

As a legislator, Troy had a strong batting record for working people by:
lowering prescription drug prices
passing universal school meals
protecting union jobs
expanding rural health care
delivering property tax relief
