#32-36 Cappadonna 1, 2, 2.5, 3 & 3.5 by Jahquel J. This season of the series dragged a bit for me once I got to book 3. It didn’t lack anything but there was too much of certain things that I feel lowered the quality of the reading experience for me. Love all the mains & enjoyed the action 3.5⭐️

#30 To Be Loved by K. Lashaun This actually took me a while to get into. Idk if I just didn’t like the pacing of how it started or what, but once I really got into it, I enjoyed the story. The only thing that I can say that bothered me a bit was some repetitive statements in the beginning 4.5⭐️

#26-28 Capone I, II & III by Jahquel J I thoroughly enjoyed this season of the series. Jahquel knows how to keep us on our toes. My only issue was the repetitiveness in some of the writing. It might not bother others but as a former English major, it was distracting at times 4.2⭐️

#25 Mega Man by Mel Dau Ik some people like InstaLove and quick romances. I’m not even opposed to those tropes if done right, but this was so unrealistic lol. And it was so quick and it felt rushed. It’s for somebody but just not for me. 2.5⭐️

That’s honestly so sad. In this day and age glasses are way to common even in younger people. I’ve had glasses since I was like 15 and never felt a way about it but both my parents and grandparents wear/wore them & I’ve never had a career that discouraged it so that’s probably why

I’ve people ask how Kadeesha in OUR VICIOUS OATHS differs from Ikenna in THE BLOOD TRIALS, and if Kadeesha will be just as badass. The answer is yes, but they’re still entirely different. While Ikenna is born and bred to be an unstoppable general, Kadeesha is born and bred to be a fierce queen.

#21 Children of Anguish and Anarchy by Tomi Adeyemi (📘3 Legacy of Orisha series) It wasn’t bad. Certain aspects were good & familiar to the first 2 books, but it’s missing A LOT of details that could’ve fully rounded out the story & made it feel rushed. 3.5⭐️
