Day 12 of the #100DayProject : Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem I might turn this goofy sketch into a risograph print!
A hand holding a rectangular paper in front of a brightly colored pillowcase that has a zigzag pattern. The paper is oriented vertically. The sketch depicts 10 featureless figures under purple and blue spotlights. The figures are yellow, orange, and red. The figures have long wavy arms and legs. Some have their arms up over their heads and some have their arms held out on either side of their bodies. The overall impression is a slightly unsettling dance party.

#the100DayProject day 5: little worm doctor inspired by They Might Be Giants’ “Doctor Worm” (cheating a bit because the worm in the song is not a real doctor but likes to play the drums)

#The100DayProject day 3: silly little clown inspired by Roy Orbison’s “In Dreams.” Came out a little cuter than intended 😆
A pencil sketch of a clown in a classic Pierrot-style clown outfit. The clown’s body is facing the viewer and his head is turned in profile. The clown is holding a little megaphone in his right hand. His right arm is by his side bent at an angle. Stars tumble from his left hand, which is raised just above his head. There are a few pops of color - three orange pom poms on his hat and three on his chest, green ribbons on the cuffs of his sleeves and pants, red cheek, and yellow stars.

i keep seeing the right argue that the nazi salutes are "trolling." i think there's some truth to that, but know what exactly is being mocked. they aren't mocking the idea that they could be nazis, they're mocking the idea that they should care one way or the other.

Today’s #The100DayProject installation is inspired by The Ethiopians’ “Things A Get From Bad To Worse.” Kinda wish I had stuck with just the arrows for this one…
A hand holding up a 4 inch by 6 inch drawing by the bottom left corner. The drawing has a series of arrows all pointing downward that all kind of nest into each other and the words “Things A Get From Bad To Worse.” Some of the arrows are filled in with black ink, some have crosshatching, some have heavier lines, and some have zig zag lines inside them.

I’m doing #The100DayProject this year! Each day I’ll be spending an hour or less on a sketch inspired by some of my favorite songs. I grew up with many versions of the classic Irish rebel song The Rising of the Moon. Definitely not inspiring or relevant to this moment… 🤘🏻
A small rectangular piece of paper on top of a clipboard covered in blue tissue paper and strips of brightly colored paper. The paper is a sketch depicting four pikes pointing upwards in front of a full moon. The sketch is a mix of pen and colored pencil. The pikes have brown wooden handles and gray tips, the moon is pale yellow, and the background is blue.
