The main dragon of my comic, Matutum, a flying hydra of genus Tricephala. It is the protector of the City of Punong Panday. Despite its massive size, this type of hydra is undescribed by science, and few individuals have observed it closely. #art #t3b #thethreebeasts #creaturedesign #dragon

I'm so excited for this story to finally be unleashed upon the world. It's got all my favorite themes (legacy, identity, memory, girls being gay, dragons) and it's just a love-letter to all the stories that inspired me. I hope it finds its reader, too.

Dima, now standing, spreads their arms out like wings. Espie continues to hold on while Buchi happily speeds through the field. They mirror Matutum flying above them in the blazing sunset, with the three Great Tamers riding its back.

The story will follow three young friends, each the child of a GREAT TAMER. In order to prove themselves as successors, they must undergo a physical contest against a three-headed hydra—MATUTUM. Who once razed their town, who is now tamed & used by the Greats for peace-keeping.

A massive three-headed hydra, all black with bright yellow wings, takes off from the roof of a lahar-buried church in a grassy field. Three men are riding on the hydra.

The tweens spot it, intending to continue their playful chase of their fathers. "Look! They're on Matutum now!" The older tween seems content just eating what looks like a stick of kwek-kwek (or Buchi) and is amused by the younger kids. "You guys still want to chase them? Alright..."

We then cut to little dragony feet scampering through the field.

The field is a blur of colors, fiery petals flying in the wind. The goat-like dragon (named Buchi) rushes through the field, to the delight of the feisty and long-haired Espie and the more panicked kid, wavy-haired Dima.

DIMA: Espiiiie? Are you sure?!
DIMA: Don't we have to return Buchi in one piece?

Espie looks around, long hair billowing, smiling at her best friend.
ESPIE: Come on! You can do it!

Dima nervously shifts position, intending to stand up on Buchi's back. Holding on to Espie's shoulder as she continues encouraging Dima.
ESPIE: We're brave just like our Papas, right?

Dima then manages to stand up, a little wobbly. Dima looks down.
ESPIE: Don't worry. I'll hold you tight.

Espie clings to Dima’s pant leg and presses her face fondly to it.
ESPIE: I promise…?

The Three Beasts is a shamelessly lesbian and trans coming-of-age story, set in the fictional City of Punong Panday (Lakanbalen ning Apandi). It's kinda inspired by a late 19th-century Pampanga/Bulacan... with dragons! So many of them!

Comic Text: "The City Center of Pundong Panday" This land by the river was named for its craftsmen, like my own ancestors from the south, in Sūg and Ranaw. But as a trading center, it draws people from all walks of life. In summer, the trees bloom, and fiery petals cover the streets—like the sparks that fall when a blacksmith strikes their hammer.

Dragons are everywhere: a lanky and long-nosed dragon pulling heavy carts of wares, a massively clawed goanna-like dragon building up the wall, smaller dragons more bird-lperched on branches and street signs.

Originally I got this bag to fill up the classic way (with merch of my beloved anime woman) but realized I was way too nervous to carry round that collection in public. So I just used it as a normal empty bag. Recently realized it would be perfect to display my Mountain of neopets (all Thrifted!)

Outside the bag, a Starry Meerca plush is used as a dangling charm. The right side compartment display has a larger (purple) Faerie Ixi plush to complete the rainbow.

Left side of bag has a Kadoatie tag and a King Roo charm. (with very yellowed epoxy.)
