dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 27/06/2026There was manufacturing defects on some copies and Criterion will replace them. So I hope you reached out to them and got replacements. 220

dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Possible, but I dont think an Arrow UK/Criterion US split with a Warner title has happened except with Crash and that isn't a WB title in the UK. (This has happened with a few Universal titles, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and VideoDrome.) 100
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Someone got a Pedicab Driver postcard in their copy of Arrow's Bullet in the Head. So I don't know what happened but it seemingly is with Arrow now. 110
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 19/06/2026Even better, this can be said publicly now that a postcard has been found, Arrow is releasing Sammo's Pedicab Driver. 100

dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 28/05/2026I would assume that a book in such a scenario would be finished and published. There is money to made with a "lost/last novel by [insert name]" 240
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 23/05/2026It is a new label, with some involvement from Cliff MacMillan and has some yet to be explained relationship with Arrow. 020

dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 03/05/2026I meant to write I think Toho forbid, not didn't forbid. I gather Toho was pretty strick with what Criterion could and couldn't do. 110
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 03/05/2026Those arw frame splices. Not really a defect, but usually the image is zoomed in slightly to hide those and I don't think Toho forbid Criterion from making any adjustments to the image. 110
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 30/04/2026Yeah, it is probably just a removable info sheet that wraps from the back, under the bottom and over the bottom third of the front, (I think their Dragons Forever UHD might have been the same.) Still it bugs me. 010
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 29/04/2026The palcement of the UHD banner on that cover is making me unreasonably angry. 100
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 29/04/2026I suppose whatever Arrow does with the A Chinese Ghost Story trilogy will answer the ? "can they do their own transfers of the GP titles or are they stuck using what Shout supplies." 010
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 29/04/2026If it were any other label, I would probably give them the benefit of the doubt, but Shout has clearly been shoveling these Gilden Princess titles out as fast as possible (and the fact that their new owners fired the guy who was actually trying to do good with the HK line) makes it hard to do that. 110
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 29/04/2026I'm still upset Shout didn't do new 4K transfers for 2 and East is Red. 100
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Knowing the material Criterion uses for their digital, it is killing me to see all those discs stacked on top of the Singleton set. Haha. 200
dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 19/04/2026Criterion works closely with Kurick's estate, so they likely would omit that one even if they had an opportunity to include it. 100

dwk @6dwk6.bsky.social · 01/02/2026Seems English-speaking fans are lucky that Shout is too lazy to release these themselves in all the English-speaking regions. Which is what any smart company would do if they spent a fortune to buy the rights to that catalog. 030
