do you see… do you see…

Housewife holds her hand to her temple and purses her lips slightly, talking to the cute boy behind her—“I know that look. Did you notice something?”

Housewife says to cute boy, “That’s what higher ups are for, aren’t they? Being responsible for their subordinates?” She’s smiling.

Cute boy (far right, extreme foreground) explains how he once trained as an itinerant Buddhist monk. Next line he says is in the next photo.

Cute boy explains how he pushes through difficulties with sheer force of will, which makes him somewhat unique. He is looking up over his glasses.

fairy chess main menu screen 🧠📌 i knew this one would be the first image people saw of the game (both on boot up but also as the promo image) so i spent a lot of time trying to iron out a medical illustration look + then reviewing it with greenie. very happy with it, in the end 🧚 < #art #oc >

thanks for 350+ downloads on fairy chess!! katurian has a gift 🎀 readers are saying... - the first half is such campy, horrific fun [...] the ending had me cheering out loud - i do love that big lady (baddie alert!!), and i kind of would like to be her fairy! - all the powerplay was, indeed, hot

character sheets for katurian and algie, the protags of our #toxicyurivnjam 2 submission fairy chess. 🧚♟️ algie's design was still being figured out, and you can see hints at where the story was meant to go if we had more time 🥲 but katurian's was locked from an early point < #art #gamedev #oc >

finally found the time to sit down and read, and @kazehai.com comes in with a complete barn-burner of a quote (talking about lac-pochette centennial)

“We’re both sensitive to the afflictions of nationality,” kazehai said. “I am a dual national and Pilot spent many years out of her home country. The imagined line between countries is one type of boundary we’re interested in. Consider also the collapse of 3D objects into 2D space, the blur of fiction into dubious historicity... Boundaries imply ‘other sides,’ where transformation seems to be a prerequisite to cross over. By recognizing or rejecting these borders, our characters gain their forms. Then they are shaped by the extent to which they bypass transformation — by identifying directly to the other side.”

kazehai is excited about the “continued break from the vernacular of ‘traditional’ VNs.” Their dream is for “people to make VNs outside the constraints of tradition, shame, and capital.” The old and new can easily “fall under the ‘visual novel’ umbrella.” They just want more of it.

Blue Period. Hashida is weirdly intense about looking at art, but easily switches to being charming when talking to Yatora.
