Baby Bolero carrots from the last of my summer beds. Another 30 feet to thin to get straight full-sized carrots in about 45 days, and several nights of baby carrot goodness from the thinning.
Baby bolero carrots, with bright green tops and unwashed orange roots. Summer carrots are not as sweet as my winter varieties, but they grow well even in SW New Mexico’s heat.

It is coming up to monsoon season, which is really more like our Spring: trees leaf out, grass greens up, and babies appear. This mom javelina is a female from 2025, with two young.

Winston has a fairly wide tolerance for what constitutes Farm Dog Work. Cleaning out the linen closet is NOT Farm Dog Work, however, and now this duvet is his.
