Selfishness is inherent but it does not need to be overwhelming. Do not bow to the unrestrained. Do not bow to banal leadership. Vote for the common good of our children, not for a cult of elites.

Cats in Croatia The cats over here belong to everyone, … and no one in particular. They have jobs to do, … one of which is to look like they are on vacation. Cats tell us that wherever we are is the most important place to be. Lesson learned.

Individual Rights require Government Protections. Corporations and Organizations provide services but must be regulated. Do we need to start over? Or perhaps go back and overturn two massive mistakes: Citizens United and Fox ‘News’.

The BIG question, … in the scheme of history, is are WE capable of, … do we have the FORESIGHT, and the DISCIPLINE, to avoid destroying ourselves?

We, as human beings, individually as well as collectively, are driven by selfishness. It may be on display in various forms as we are a complicated species, but selfishness remains our biological motive. This does not mean all is lost. Admitting the truth allows us to move forward in peace. ❤️

REMINDERS: - ICE point-blank killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Good people who stood up for individual rights in our country. - Jan 6, 2020 - Insurrectionists, encouraged by their cult leader, tried to block the peaceful transfer of power by storming the Capital. FUCK TRUMP AND THOSE ENABLING HIM

Every day is a new day but the time is always now. Let go of expectations and acknowledge the way things are. Let awareness and understanding guide my daily thoughts. May my words and my actions be meaningful and appropriate. And may any damage I cause be minimal. 🙏

Search Assist BIRTH OF MAGA CULT Yes, Donald Trump famously stated that he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose any voters during a campaign rally in January 2016. This remark was made to illustrate his belief in the loyalty of his supporters.

What happened to our country? We have become obsessed with ‘first world problems’ to the detriment of fundamental human rights. This is not cool. The lowest common denominator now leads our social evolution back to Darwinian survival strategies. I grew up believing humans were better than this. 😕

It is clear that Donald Trump lies to everyone on a regular basis. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. This man has been manipulating circumstances through his lies his entire life. Now he is old, feeble and facing dementia. Does anyone think he is going to change or get better?

Don’t let the Oligarchs win. NO KINGS means no government led by one person, one political party, or one cult. We need two or more functioning political parties to uphold our Constitution. This mess is on the Republican party. And Fuck You if you still stand by this current fascist regime.

Our President is insane - thinks everyone other than himself is an idiot. Our country is full of assholes - not idiots. In our country you are allowed to be whatever you want to be. That is the beauty, and also the challenge, of our constitutionally based government. We have constitutional rights.

“We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness, which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world.” Marcel Proust
